Applicant must be a underrepresented citizen or permanent resident of the United States who is enrolled in a degree-granting program at a college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, or other United States territory. At least two semesters of undergraduate education, at least one semester of undergraduate education remaining after completing the program, and a strong interest in pursuing a Ph.D. are required. Summer program designed to enhance academic and research skills by working one-on-one with a faculty mentor from top ranked institutions. Recipient will gain experience as an undergraduate student that will put them at an advantage as a graduate applicant; at the same time earning money and having an all expenses paid research opportunity. Forty hours of research per week and full-time devotion to the program during the eight- to ten-week session will be required. Applicant may only use one application to apply to eight universities.
