Norman S. and Betty M. Fitzhugh Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Kanawha County. Minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Ruth Ann Johnson Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who demonstrates academic excellence, financial need, and good moral character and is attending an accredited college or university as a full-time student in any state.

 

W.P. Black Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who has a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrates academic excellence, financial need, good moral character, and who is enrolled in an undergraduate program.

 

R. Ray Singleton Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident in one of the following counties: Boone, Clay, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, or Putnam. Applicant must be attending a college or university in West Virginia. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Madeline B. McCrum Scholarship

Applicant must be attending West Virginia University College of Law. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Leadership/Community Service Award

Applicant must have a strong record of leadership in school/community service activities. Letter of recommendation recommended.

 

Departmental Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate talent and participate in audition or technical review.

 

American Baptist Church Award

Applicant must be a resident of Franklin County, Kans., and have graduated from a Franklin County high school.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.85 GPA and demonstrate leadership and community and school service. Interview required of finalists.

 

Glenn Whaley Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a North Carolina or South Carolina resident and a full-time student, be articulate, have a minimum 3.7 GPA, demonstrate involvement in university outside activities with leadership ability, and have a connection between studies, job plans, and extracurricular activities with future plans well thought out in the field of finance.

 

Charlotte Area Personnel Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate academic excellence and leadership skills and be an active member of the student chapter of Society for Human Resource Management.

 

Unisys Corporation Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be pursuing a B.S. or B.A. degree, have at least one academic year remaining and completed at least one semester in residence, be a full-time student, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and minimum 3.5 GPA in computer science courses.

 

Law Enforcement Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be a full-time student. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career in policing.

 

Wade H. Stroud Scholarship

Award: $800, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled for at least nine credit hours. Applicant must submit transcript and personal statement about intended career goals.

 

North Carolina Sheriffs' Association Undergraduate Criminal Justice Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a North Carolina resident. Priority given first to children of a sheriff or deputy sheriff, then to children of any law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, then to children of any sheriff or deputy sheriff who is deceased or retired, and then to criminal justice majors with high GPAs and financial need. Applicant must submit letter of recommendation from sheriff in his or her county of residence, transcript, and documentation of criteria.

 

Free Tuition Program for Children of Certain South Carolina War Veterans

Applicant must be the child of a South Carolina war veteran who is listed as permanently and totally disabled by the Veterans Administration, or in receipt of the Purple Heart or Medal of Honor, Non-Service Connected Pension. Award is for undergraduate study and may be used at state supported South Carolina public colleges and universities only.

 

Alma and Sharon Goudes Educational Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA in at least 45 semester hours of higher education course work, intend to pursue teaching as a career, and demonstrate significant work with children and evidence of leadership skills.

 

Bertha and Irving Fishman Scholarship

Applicant must be a minority student who demonstrates outstanding academic performance with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a commitment to teaching middle-grade students, shows evidence of prior work with children at this age level, and has unmet financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.

 

North Carolina Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Scholarship

Applicant must be a rising student and demonstrate financial need.

 

Dance and Theatre Fine Arts Scholarship for Continuing Students

Parents Association Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is 25 years of age or younger and a high school senior who ranks in top 15% of class, transfer student with a minimum 3.25 GPA and at least 12 completed credit hours, or continuing university student.

 

General Resident Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a first degree-seeking student who is enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester), and demonstrate financial need in the amount of state tuition as determined by submitting FAFSA by March 1. Preference given to continuing Arizona St U students.

 

General Merit Scholarship
