Scholarships in Baltimore City

Baltimore Scholars

Award: -, Deadline: January 1; November 15 (early decision)

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who has lived with a custodial parent in Baltimore City for the last three years and has been enrolled in a public high school in the city for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Required documents for need-based financial aid must be filed in order to apply.

 

Northrop Grumman Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a female full-time student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Engineering. Focus on one of the following disciplines is required: civil and materials, electrical and computer, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Applicant must show evidence of above average academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0). Women of color (African American, Latina, Native American) are encouraged to apply. Application coversheet, biographical statement, current resume or CV (list your education and employment history), UIC transcript, proof of financial aid eligibility, proof of U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport), and two letters of recommendation (include at least one from a UIC instructor) required.

 

Marion Burk Knott Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of a parish in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

 

Al Sanders Foundation for Music Studies Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Baltimore County high school who will pursue a degree in music from an accredited four-year college or university. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.
