ACEC Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in an engineering or land surveying ABET approved curriculum with standing as a junior, senior, fifth year, or graduate student. Applicant must be in good academic standing and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon work experience, extracurricular activities, and recommendation from a professor or consulting engineer or land surveyor.

 

South Dakota State Tuition Assistance

Applicant must be a resident of South Dakota who is a member of the South Dakota National Guard and attends a state-supported institution.

 

Thomas and Catherine Yoshikawa Award for Outstanding Scientific Achievement in Clinical Investigation

Applicant must have graduated from medical school on or after June 1980, be a U.S. or Canadian resident, be nominated, and submit a curriculum vitae, reprints of up to three publications illustrating the applicant's most important contributions, and at least one letter of recommendation.

 

G. Robert Hamrdla Award

Applicant must be a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon whose transcript demonstrates study of 19th and 20th century history.

 

SDRA Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: April 12

Applicant must be enrolled in or planning to enroll as a full-time student in a retail-related course of study at a vocational technical school, college or university, or other trade school in South Dakota in the fall of the application year.

 

Lee Jackson Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 3

Applicant must be a junior or senior in a Virginia public or private high school or home school who plans to attend an accredited four-year college or university in the United States as a full-time student. Essay required.

 

Nursing Student Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be currently enrolled in a nursing education program and have successfully completed at least one clinical class.

 

Uan Rasey Memorial Scholarship for Trumpet

Award: $2,500, Deadline: September 24

Applicant must be a resident of southern California, and must demonstrate exceptional talent and financial need. Instrumentalists and pianists may apply through the completion of their senior year of high school. Vocalists must be between the ages of 12 and 26. Audition required.

 

CCB Scholarship

Applicant must be a California resident who is legally blind and enrolled as a full-time student for at least 12 units for each term of the entire academic year.

 

Ralph Flamminio Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a Pennsylvania resident who is a student at a two- or four-year institution, or actively enrolled in a graduate program. Applicant does not need to be a journalism major, but should be determined to pursue a career in print journalism. Applicant should be active in their campus newspaper or have print journalism experience.

 

National Guard Association of Arizona Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a current enlisted member of the Arizona National Guard, a dependent child or spouse of a member of the NGAAZ, or a current officer member of the Arizona National Guard that is also a member of the NGAAZ. Applicant must be a full-time student and be in good standing. Selection is based upon financial need, GPA, community service, letters of recommendation, and National Guard philosophy/knowledge.

 

Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a full-time film or television major who is about to enter their junior or senior year in a degree-granting program at a four-year college or university in the United States.

 

Sussman-Miller Educational Assistance Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 23 (for students who will attend out-of-state schools or in-state private schools); June 26 (for students who will attend New Mexico in-state state public schools)

Applicant must be a resident of New Mexico with a minimum 3.0 high school GPA or 2.5 college GPA. Resume, statement of goals and unusual circumstances, official transcripts, academy references, and proof of financial need are required to be submitted.

 

New Hampshire Society of CPAs Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a New Hampshire resident who is a college senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in accounting or business.

 

Decommissioning, Decontamination, and Reutilization Division Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or possess a permanent resident visa, be enrolled in an engineering or science discipline associated with decommissioning/decontamination of nuclear facilities or management/characterization of nuclear waste or restoration of the environment. Please see ANS website (www.ans.org) for list of additional criteria to be met. Applicant must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee member or organization member.

 

Excellence in Accounting Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a resident of New York. Applicant must be enrolled at or accepted to a New York college or university with plans to major in accounting. Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and completed FAFSA required.

 

HCF Scholars Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 16

Applicant must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent. Financial need is required to be demonstrated.

 

Neuroscience Research Prize

Applicant must be a high school student. Application must represent original laboratory research as well as the original written work of the applicant.

 

Arthur L. Lucas and Cora Lucas Chestnut Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Allen County, IN, enrolled as a full-time elementary education major. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Olive B. Cole Foundation Assistance Program

Applicant must be a Noble County, IN, resident who is attending or planning to attend the university as a part-time student and is able to demonstrate financial need. Currently enrolled applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. FAFSA required.

 

Gustavus B. Capito Fund for Nursing Education

Applicant must be a Charleston, WV resident enrolled as a full time student in an accredited nursing program in West Virginia. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled at any college or university in West Virginia and studying in the field of education. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Bernardine Bess Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from St. Albans High School. Financial need is required.

 

Pauline Haddad Bsharah Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a graduate of Sherman High School or Marsh Fork High School. Selection is based upon financial need, academic performance, leadership abilities, and demonstrated contributions to school or community.

 

Crichton High School Alumni Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Greenbrier West High School or a GED recipient living in the Crichton Public School attendance area Financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Jerry L. Dove Memorial Fund Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from South Charleston High School who demonstrates academic potential and moral character, and is committed to the values of fairness and justice. Financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Helen M. Goode Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia who is a graduating senior of Lincoln County High School. Minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.
