Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who is a graduating senior of Nitro High School. Selection based on high moral character, sense of loyalty to family and friends, academic performance, ability to set attainable goals, respected by peers, and having demonstrated school spirit. Applicant must be a full-time student between the ages of 13 and 19 who is a high school student attending any public, private, parochial, or home high school in Greater Houston, TX. Applicant must be an instrumental musician and/or vocalist performing as a soloist or in an ensemble comprised of no more than five student musicians.

Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia who is a graduating senior of Nitro High School. Applicant must demonstrate loyalty to family and friends, be of high moral standards, and be academically sound/physically fit within their abilities. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who is a graduating senior of Logan High School planning to attend any college or university in West Virginia. Applicant must be in a teaching program. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Elizabeth S. Johnston Memorial Fund Scholarship

Applicant must be attending the University of Charleston who is able to demonstrate scholastic ability. Minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

King-Alderson Family Fund Scholarship

Applicant must be attending West Virginia University or Alderson Broaddus College. Academic ability must be demonstrated. Minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Atkinson Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or an approved post-secondary vocational/professional development program. Applicant must be a Sudbury resident/the dependent of a Sudbury resident, be enrolled at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, or be the dependent of a full-time Town of Sudbury or Lincoln-Sudbury employee.

 

Robert D. Ashworth Fund Scholarship

Charleston Rotary Club Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of the Charleston area who is studying business or a related field. Preference given to students having prior business or entrepreneurial experience. Minimum 2.0 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

Bernice Pickens Parsons Fund Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of West Virginia; preference will be given to Jackson County residents. Applicant must be planning to major in the fields of library science, nursing, or para-professional training in the legal field. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

California Eastern Star Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or a continuing undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university, community college, trade school, or religious institution. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and strong high school and/or community leadership record required. Applicants generally funded by this award will primarily be those with masonic ties or those who are members of Masonic Youth Groups.

 

Russian/U.S. Young Leadership Fellows for Public Service Program

Educational Assistance Commitment Grant

Applicant must be in fifth year of program leading to the CPA certificate at an Ohio school, and have earned at least 120 semester hours. Part-time students are also eligible for a partial grant. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Lourania Miller & Gareth Morgan Scholarships

Applicant must be a resident of Texas who is a high school senior planning to continue their study of Latin and the classics while attending college. Recipient must take Latin or Greek their freshman year at college; enrollment in Latin cannot be at the beginning level.

 

MSPE Western Michigan U Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a Michigan resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 26, and demonstrate intent to enter the engineering field after graduation. Selection is based upon high school record, extracurricular activities, essay, recommendations, and evidence of leadership, character, and self-reliance.
