Awarded to dependents of members of the Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) for undergraduate study.

 

Two Ten Footwear Foundation Scholarships

Selection is based on academic record, personal promise, character, and financial need. Applicant must be employed in the footwear, leather or allied industries for at least 500 hours during the year prior to January 1 or applicant's parents must be employed in these industries for a minimum of two years. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, display unmet financial need, and be enrolled in an accredited two- or four year college, university, nursing, or vocational/technical school. One exceptional candidate who meets the Two Ten scholarship criteria and exhibits substantial financial need is selected to be a Super Scholar (worth up to $15,000 per year and is renewable for four years of undergraduate study).

 

Carpe Diem Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate leadership in community service activities. Preference is given to children of parents involved in government service, justice, health care, education and community service-type employment.

 

American Graduate Fellowships

Applicants must be graduating seniors or recent graduates of an eligible undergraduate institution. Applicants must intend to enter a doctoral program in one of the eligible fields of study during the subsequent academic year. Applicants must be citizens of the United States.

Agnes Malakate Kezios Scholarship

Technology Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: September 30

Applicant must be a Pennsylvania resident who is a high school graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be enrolled in an approved science, technology, or allied health program at a Pennsylvania school, including community colleges, independent two-year colleges or private licensed schools offering approved programs. The goal of this program is to help address the critical need to educate and retain a workforce of highly trained technology experts that will help Pennsylvania attract and support new employers. Recipients of these scholarships must agree to work full-time in Pennsylvania following graduation, one year for each year that a scholarship award is received.

 

PHEAA Academic Excellence Scholarship Award Program

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have applied and qualified for a federal Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program award, but did not receive the scholarship. Applicant must be a high school senior and a Pennsylvania resident who is enrolled full-time at a PHEAA approved, Pennsylvania postsecondary institution for the academic year following high school graduation. Applicant must be a Pennsylvania State Grant recipient for at least one term during your freshman year.

 

The ChairScholars Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: April 15

National Program applicants must demonstrate profound physical challenges; Tampa Bay Florida Program applicants must reside in Florida counties of Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, or Sarasota. Applicant must have profound physical challenges and have satisfactory academic performance with a minimum "B" high school scholastic average and significant community service or social contribution. Essay of 300-500 words and financial need are required.

 

C.A.R. Scholarship Foundation

Applicants must have completed a minimum of twelve college level course units within the last four years, at least two courses must have been Real Estate or Real Estate related studies. The applicant must be enrolled at the time of application in the minimum of six units, at least one course must be Real Estate or Real Estate related. Students must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 2.6 or higher from all Colleges/Universities attended. Students must be a legal resident of the State of California for at least one year prior to the date of application and have a valid California Driver's license or California State Identification card. A copy of the license or ID card must be submitted with this application. Applicants must submit current official transcripts from all Colleges/Universities attended. Verification of current enrollment and at least two letters of recommendation must be submitted with the application. Applicant must also submit an essay of at least 300 words explaining career objectives.

 

Midwest Student Exchange Program

The HBCU Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a current student or incoming freshman at a Historically Black College or University. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and apply to be accepted at an accredited college (excluding propriety schools) in the United States. Applicant must be a full-time student and possess a GPA of 2.5 (C+). NAACP membership is highly desirable and applicant must demonstrate financial need. The Hubertus W.V. Willems Scholarship for Male Students

Applicant must be a male and a citizen of the United States and be applying to or accepted at an accredited college (excluding proprietary schools) in the United States. Undergraduate applicants must be full-time students and graduate applicants may be full or part-time students. Undergraduate students must possess a GPA of 2.5 (C+) and graduate students must possess a GPA of 3.0 (B). NAACP membership is highly desirable and the applicant must demonstrate financial need. Charles (Tommy) Thomas Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. or a non-U.S. applicant and must be a student member of ANS attending an accredited institution in the United States. Applicant must be an undergraduate of at least junior year status pursuing a degree in a discipline preparing them for a career dealing with the environmental aspects of nuclear science or nuclear engineering.

 

ANS Incoming College Freshman Scholarship

U.S. and non-U.S. applicants must be ANS Student members enrolled in and attending an accredited institution in the United States. Applicant must be a high school senior and must be enrolled full-time in college courses and pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or intends to pursue a degree in nuclear engineering in a U.S. institution.

 

ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship

U.S. and non-U.S. applicants must be ANS Student members enrolled in and attending an accredited institution in the United States. Students must be enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering in a U.S. institution.

 

Everitt P. Blizard Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering at a U.S. institution. Student must be enrolled in graduate-level studies in the field of radiation protection and shielding. Applicant must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee member or organization member.

 

John Randall Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

U.S. and non-U.S. applicants must be ANS Student members enrolled in and attending an accredited institution in the United States. Student must be enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering in a U.S. institution. Student must be enrolled in a course of study related to the nuclear fuel cycle and radioactive waste management. Applicant must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee member or organization member.

 

Lillie Lois Ford Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 20

Applicant must be a resident of Missouri and under the age of 21. Applicant must be unmarried and a descendant of a veteran with at least 90 days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. A photocopy of the veteran's discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application. Applicant must be attending an accredited college/university as a full-time student. Consideration for scholarship will be determined annually for high school graduates in need of financial aid to attend a college/university.

Applicant must be a resident of Missouri and under the age of 21 who is unmarried and a descendant of a veteran with at least 90 days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. Applicant must be attending an accredited college/university as a full-time student training to be a registered nurse. Application and photocopy of veteran's discharge or separation notice are required to be submitted.

 

Joseph J. Frank Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 20

Applicant must be under the age of 21 and an unmarried resident of Missouri. Applicant must be a descendant of a veteran with at least 90 days of active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service who was a descendant member of The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of The American Legion. Applicant must have attended a full session of The American Legion Boys State or The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program. A photocopy of the veteran's discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application.

Charles L. Bacon Memorial Scholarship

Erman W. Taylor Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be a descendant of a veteran who served 90 or more days of active duty in the armed forces and having honorable discharge. Applicant must be a Missouri resident and use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university. Applicant must provide a copy of the discharge certificate for the veteran on whose the application is made and submit an essay.

Shane Dean Voyles Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 20

Applicant must be a resident of Missouri. Applicants must be under the age of 21, unmarried and a descendant of a veteran with at least ninety days active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, who received an Honorable Discharge for such service. A photocopy of the veteran's discharge or separation notice must accompany the scholarship application. Each school in the State of Missouri may nominate one student to be considered for the award. The nominee will be selected on athletic, scholastic, and leadership abilities. The nominee should be deeply involved in community and school activities. Applicant must use the award as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

AMS Freshman Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be entering freshman year of undergraduate study in the fall majoring in atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. Selection is based upon academic excellence.

 

AMS Graduate History of Science Fellowship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be looking to complete a dissertation on the history of the atmospheric, or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. Fellowship looks to generate a dissertation topic in the history of the atmospheric, or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences, and to foster close working relations between historians and scientists. An effort will be made to place the student into a mentoring relationship with an AMS member at an appropriate institution.

 

The Charles and Melva T. Owen Memorial Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be legally blind in both eyes, residing in and pursuing a full-time course of study in an accredited degree program in the United States or Puerto Rico. Online/print application form, personal essay, two letters of recommendation, proof of legal blindness, all post-secondary transcripts, and one interview with NFB state president required; financial need not required. One scholarship may be given to a student who is working full-time and attending part-time.
