Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Public Policy Fellowship

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who has earned a bachelor's degree within two years of the program start date. Graduate program fellowship focuses on areas such as higher education, secondary education, health, housing, law, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Program gives the opportunity to work in congressional offices and federal agencies, depending on their area of interest. Some past focus areas have included international affairs, economic development, health and education policy, housing, or local government.

 

Department of Veterans Affairs Tuition Exemption

Applicant must be a child (16 to 25 years of age) or surviving spouse (who has not remarried) of a deceased member of the U.S. armed forces who died in service in the line of duty or from a wartime service-connected disability after discharge, a 90% disabled member or 100% disabled member, including 100% due to individual unemployability, (rated by the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs), a POW, or MIA. The deceased war veteran must have been a Louisiana resident for at least two years prior to child's enrollment in school. Applicant must be enrolled full-time at a Louisiana state-supported college, university, or trade/vocational school.

Applicant's parent or guardian must have served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, or the U.S. Coast Guard as a Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer, or Designated Naval Aircrewman, or served on board a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier in any capacity as a member of ship's company or assigned air wing.

 

University Scholars

EAGLS (Education Aid Guarantee for Lutheran Students) Grant

Dr. Arnita Young Boswell Scholarship

Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student with less than nine months research experience in a physiology lab. Applicant must work in the lab of an APS member. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. No previous peer-reviewed publications or previous abstracts submitted to national or international meetings.

 

The Senator Joel Abromson Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a senior in a Maine high school who has been accepted to any institution of higher learning. Cover letter (with applicant's name, address, phone number, name of high school, and name of higher educational institution that he or she is planning to attend), two letters of recommendation, a copy of acceptance letter from the selected institution of higher education, and essay answering a specified question.

 

NPFDA Scholarship Foundation Award

Applicant must be a full-time student (junior or senior status during award year) attending an accredited college or university in the United States pursuing an agriculture, agribusiness, animal, poultry or food-science or related degree.

 

APS Scholarship for Minority Undergraduate Physics Majors

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is African-American, Hispanic American, or Native American. Applicant must be a high school senior, college freshman, or college sophomore who is majoring or planning to major in physics.
