Golden Key Scholar Award

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a lifetime member in good standing of Golden Key, or an undergraduate or recent alumni (within five years). Selection is based upon an exceptional undergraduate record including scholastic achievement, leadership, and service, significant involvement in the applicant's GKNHS chapter, and a demonstrated commitment to campus and community service. Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in the social sciences at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and community involvement/service must be demonstrated.

 

Virginia Teaching Scholarship/Loan

Award: $3,720, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a male, preparing to teach in elementary and middle school, be a minority student, or be preparing to teach in chemistry, earth sciences, foreign language, mathematics, physics, special education, or technology education. All applicants must be a resident of Virginia, have a recommendation from the school, and have a minimum 2.7 GPA. Award may be used at Virginia colleges or universities with state approved teacher preparation programs only.

 

Maxine Williams Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Selection is based upon interest in and a commitment to a career in medical assisting, financial need, academic ability, and demonstration of involvement in school and community. Award is limited to individuals enrolled in a post-secondary program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Students studying other allied health professions or planning to enter medical school are not eligible.

 

Kohler Co. College Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be an employee or the child of an employee of Kohler Co. (or U.S. or Canadian subsidiary).

 

Fellowship Program

Award: $40,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree. Applicants are reviewed by the Career Development Program Grant Review Subcommittee. Proposed research projects must be related directly to leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

 

Trustee Merit Scholarship

Award: $22,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant selection is based on invitation upon admission. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 28 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1240).

 

Associated Builders and Contractors Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must have successfully completed at least one year of schooling in an associate or baccalaureate degree program in construction (other than a design discipline) by August 31, and be an active member of their school's ABC student chapter, if the school has one. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities, and employment experience.

 

Grand Rapids Foundation Michigan Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and have been a resident of Kent County, Mich. for at least three years. Applicant must attend any school in Michigan except Aquinas Coll, Calvin Coll, Cornerstone U., Davenport U., Grand Rapids Community Coll, Grand Valley St U, or Kendall Coll of Art and Design. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and a personal statement.

 

SICO Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a first-time college student enrolling full-time and must be a resident of Delaware; or Adams, Berks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, or York County in Penn.; or have graduated from Delmar High School in Del. or from Boyertown, Spring Ford, or Williams Valley high school in Penn.

 

Ralph Steinhauer Award of Distinction

Applicant must be a Canadian resident who intends to enroll at an Alberta institution.

 

Community Action Grant

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a woman and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Proposed activity must have direct community or public impact and relate to education and equity for women and girls. Applicant may apply for one grant only. One-year grants ($2,000-$7000 over one year) provide seed money for new projects. Two year grants (5,000-10,000 over two years) provide start-up funds for longer-term programs that address the particular needs of the community and develop girls' sense of efficacy through leadership or advocacy opportunities.

 

William A. Trice Jr. Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a resident of Shipman or Lovingston, Va., or be graduating from Nelson County High School. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, have a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100, and demonstrate financial need and academic achievement. Applicant must submit FAFSA.

 

Resident Assistant Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and may not receive more than 12 repermands. Applicant must also complete application form, submit recommendations from Resident Advisors, complete selection process, and meet personal qualifications and job expectations.

 

Governor's Workforce Development Grant

Applicant must be an employed Delaware resident over 18 years old. Selection is based upon need. Award may be used at Delaware schools only.

Bachelor of Science Scholarship and Loan Repayment Program

Award: $19,000, Deadline: n/a

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted in a Bachelor of Science nursing program (specific to the B.S.N. scholarship). Purpose of program is to increase the number of registered nurses (RN) practicing in medically underserved areas of California. Award is to pay tuition, necessary fees, books, supplies, and educational equipment costs for nursing; debt that was incurred while attending a baccalaureate degree nursing program. Recipient must be willing to practice in California as a RN providing full-time (32 hours per week) direct patient care.

 

Heritage Award

Joseph Henry Jackson Literary Award

Applicant must be between 20 and 35 years of age by deadline and a resident of Nevada or northern California for three consecutive years prior to deadline. Applicant must submit an unpublished work-in-progress: fiction (novel or short story), nonfiction, prose, or poetry. Nonfiction writers who are not recipients of the award may be considered for the $1,000 Special Award for Nonfictional Prose. No separate application is required for the special award.

 

Dr. Alice E. Wilson Award

Award: $6,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a woman who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant enrolled in a graduate studies program in any field. Special consideration is given to applicants returning to study after at least three years.

 

Honors Program Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must submit application, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and an interview is required. Selection is based upon leadership, love for learning, determination and a minimum 1300 SAT score, minimum 30 ACT score and a minimum 3.6 GPA. Student must complete the Honors curriculum of classes.

 

Edgar May Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Caledonia, Essex, Orange, Orleans, or Windsor County, VT who faces significant barriers or obstacles that limit access to education after high school. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Art, Music, and Theatre Award

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA for the music or theatre awards; minimum 2.5 GPA for the art award. Nomination by selected department is required.

 

Upper Valley Scholarship

Golden State Minority Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled full-time, be employed no more than 25 hours per week, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
