Dixie Boys Baseball Scholarship Program

Award: $1,250, Deadline: April 1

Applicants must plan to pursue undergraduate studies at a college or university. An application, financial statement, two recommendation letters, proof of baseball participation, transcript and essay are required. Selection is based on class rankings, strong school and community leadership and financial need. Programs are located in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

 

Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 7

Applicants must be high school seniors or college freshmen or sophomores who are residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for high school seniors or 2.75 for college students. Selection is based on academic excellence, community involvement, leadership skills, awards and honors and financial need.

 

Curwen-Guidry-Blackburn Scholarship Fund

Award: $750, Deadline: March 15

Students must be high school seniors and currently bowling in a USBC Certified Youth League. Students must reside in a Southern Bowling Congress member state which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. Applicants must have bowled in a USBC Certified Youth League three of four years in high school and have bowled 75 percent of the league schedule. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and achieved an ACT composite score of 20 or SAT composite score of 1410.

 

Shipley Rose Buckner Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 30

Applicants must be enrolled as a funeral service student full- or part-time in an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

MetLife Foundation FFA Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 8

Applicants must be working toward four-year degrees in specific areas of agriculture including public service and administration, agribusiness management, range/soil science, public communications, plant or animal breeding and genetics, education, plant pathology, journalism, technology, extension, mechanization, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing or engineering. Applicants must also be residents of one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming. Fastline Publications FFA Scholarship

Applicants may be from Iowa or Texas and working toward two-year degrees in agricultural business management, farm and ranch management, livestock management or agricultural sales and marketing. Applicants may also be from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina or South Carolina and working toward four-year degrees in agricultural business management, farm and ranch management, livestock management or agricultural sales and marketing. Mahindra USA Women in Ag Scholarship

Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture and reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia. Cynthia and Alan Baran Fine Arts and Music Scholarship Fund

Applicants must be current students at an accredited college or university, take at least six credit hours and be enrolled in a bachelor's of fine art, bachelor's of studio art, master's of fine art or bachelor's or master's in music program. Art students must major in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography or printmaking. Preference for music scholarships is given to those studying acoustic mandolin or acoustic guitar. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

 

Tennessee Funeral Directors Association Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and legal residents of Tennessee. They must be enrolled full time in a funeral service or mortuary science program at a school that has been accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education (ABFSE). They must have completed one term of their program and must have at least one term remaining in their program. They must have plans to practice in Tennessee after graduating. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

NACE Eastern Area Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: January 5

Applicants must be a permanent resident of the United States and be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate in an accredited engineering or physical science degree program at a two or four-year college or university. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have a permanent address within the NACE Eastern Area which includes the following states and/or U.S. Territories: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana (excluding Lake, Porter La Porte, Newton and Jasper counties), Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.

NACA South Student Leadership Scholarships

Students must hold a significant campus leadership position, demonstrate significant leadership skills and abilities and make significant contributions through on- or off-campus volunteering.
