Oregon Army National Guard

Students must serve in the Oregon Army National Guard. The educational program provides tuition and expenses for vocational school, distance learning, alternative credit programs or college. The Student Loan Repayment Program helps students in repaying up to $50,000. Students must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).

 

ODS Youth Interscholastic Merit Scholarship

Applicants must be current ODS High School Dressage team members, have been members for at least two years and have been accepted to a college or university. Selection is based on experience as a leader and role model, community service, academic achievements, a personal essay and the letters of reference.

The Arc of Washington State Trust Fund Stipend Award

Applicants must be undergraduate juniors or above (including graduate-level students) and must be enrolled in a college or university located in Idaho, Washington state, Alaska or Oregon. They must be interested in working with the developmentally disabled. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Benjamin Franklin/Edith Green Scholarship

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents. They must be Oregon residents, be graduating high school seniors and have a GPA of 3.45 to 3.55. Applicants who owe a refund on an educational grant or who have defaulted on an educational loan are ineligible. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Ford Scholars Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents. They must be Oregon or Siskiyou County, California residents who are high school graduates, GED recipients or community college students who will be transferring to an Oregon or California four-year college with junior standing during the fall of the application year. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or a GED score of 2650 or higher, have plans to earn a bachelor's degree at a non-profit Oregon or California institution and be enrolled as a full-time student no later than the fall of the application year. They must owe no educational grant refund money and must have no defaulted student loans. Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree previously are ineligible. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Oregon Scholarship Fund Community College Student Award

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents, enrolled at or planning to enroll at a community college in Oregon and enrolled at least part-time. They must owe no educational grant refunds and must have no defaulted student loans. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Oregon Collectors Association Hasson-Newman Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be high school seniors in the state of Oregon who are not children or grandchildren of owners or officers of Oregon collection agencies. Students must write an essay on a specific topic, and if selected as finalists must attend the Oregon Collectors Association Spring Convention and read their essays.

 

Oregon Opportunity Grant

Applicants must have financial need and be enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate program at a participating Oregon college or university. They must be Oregon residents and U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens, and they must be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant.

 

Lori Rhett Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Students must hold a significant campus leadership position and demonstrate significant leadership skills and abilities. Applicants must also be making significant contributions through on- or off-campus volunteering and must attend school in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington.

Dennis Coleman Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Scholarship is for students studying choral conducting or music with preference given to those committed to creating social change through music.

 

Political Leadership Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Students should be studying law, political science, public policy, or public administration with the goal of improving rights for LGBTQ people. Preference will be given to LGBTQ students of color and low-income or first-generation college students.

 

Associates in Behavioral Health Scholarship

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington. Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Students with additional barriers to education as well as those who are economically, racially, socially, geographically or politically disenfranchised will be given consideration as well. Applicants must be LGBTQ students pursuing graduate education in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or psychiatric nursing. Preference given to students who display financial need.

Applicants must be pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM).

Applicants must be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington and be high school seniors or college or graduate students (community college, four-year public or private college or university, certificate program, vocational/technical/trade programs, law school, medical/dental/veterinary school or graduate education). Students must be members of the LGBTQ and allied community and display leadership either within the LGBTQ community or within their field of study and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be pursuing an accredited social work degree (BSW or MSW) from the University of Washington or Seattle University.
