HOPE Grant Program

Applicant must be a resident of Georgia who is enrolled in a certificate or diploma program at an eligible public college, university, or public technical college. GPA is not considered.

 

HERO Scholarship Program (Helping Educate Reservists and their Offspring)

Award: $2,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a member of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones or the child/spouse of such members.

 

Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant

Award: $475, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a resident of Georgia who is attending a private college. Award amount may be subject to change.

 

Georgia Public Safety Memorial Grant

Applicant must be the dependent child of a Georgia Public Safety Officer who is permanently disabled or was killed in the line of duty.

 

Travel Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a full-time, dependent student from the United States or Canada (excluding Minnesota and western Wisconsin).

 

Merit Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who will graduate high school on the United States mainland. Information provided on the admissions application, along with a high school transcript will determine criteria and eligibility of the award.

 

HSF/University of Georgia University Alliance Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll as a full-time student in a degree seeking program at a four-year accredited institution at the University of Georgia during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA must be completed by March 1; applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need. Priority will be given to applicants who are Pell grant eligible and to those who have unmet need. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

HSF/Procter & Gamble Company Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have plans to enroll as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a non-resident freshmen student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and a GPA between 3.25 and 3.49.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering non-resident freshman student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and minimum 3.75 GPA.

 

Provost's Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering non-resident freshman student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and a high school GPA between 3.5 and 3.74.

 

Out of State Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1 (priority)

Applicant must be a United States resident who is living outside of New York State and who visits the college before January 31st of their senior year.

 

Jayhawk Generations Scholarship

Award: $12,154, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be an admitted first-time, non-resident freshman student whose parent, step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent, step-grandparent, or great-grandparent earned a degree at the university. Minimum 3.5 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090 (composite ACT score of 24) required.

 

Blazer Elite Scholarship

GBAA Aviation Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Georgia high school graduate (or have a GED equivalent from an accredited Georgia school or Home School Program) who is enrolled as a full-time student or has been accepted as a full-time student into an accredited/FAA-approved college program pursuing an aviation-related certificate or undergraduate or graduate degree in the fields of flight technology, aviation maintenance technology, aviation operations, aviation management, or aeronautical engineering (applicants in other aviation disciplines will be considered). Completed application, 500-1,000 word essay, and one letter of recommendation from a school official or other advisor/mentor are required to be submitted. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required (both high school and college, if applicable).

 

Clark and Ruby Baker Scholarship

Applicant must be a Georgia resident with financial need. Preference is given to students from rural or small towns.

 

Emerge 2012 Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 6

Applicant must be a woman who has demonstrated a deep commitment to both reaching their educational goals and giving back to their communities. Applicant must be accepted into a program of study at an educational institution, as evidenced by a proof of acceptance. Selection is based upon financial need, other funding received, career/life goals, essay content, leadership and participation in community activities, and honors/awards received.

Applicant must be a full-time student and one of the following: a United States citizen who is a non-Florida resident living in the United States or a United States territory or an eligible non-citizen (permanent resident).

 

NACA Southeast Student Leadership Scholarships

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a college or university within the former NACA Southeast region (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA and PR) and have made significant contributions to the community or campus.

 

APIASF/Sara Lee Foundation

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 13

Applicant must be a female U.S. citizen, national or legal permanent resident of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity (as defined by the U.S. Census) who is from Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin, and will be enrolling in an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year. Minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA required (or GED).

 

Lester W. Butts Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a high school senior graduating from Douglass High School who has been accepted o an accredited college, university or technical school. Financial need and history of community service are required to be demonstrated.

 

Steve Dearduff Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a legal resident of Georgia who is enrolled in or accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in medicine or social work. Minimum 2.0 GPA, financial need, and history of commitment to community service are required.

 

Dreams2 Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school to pursue an undergraduate degree. Full-time status, minimum 2.0 GPA, and financial need are required.
