Applicant must not be a resident of Michigan or Ohio.

 

Mark Twain Nonresident Scholarship

Award: $5,500, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must rank in top 50% of graduating high school class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT I score of 1210), and be a resident of any state except Missouri.

 

Henry L. Bowden Scholarship

Award: $25,240, Deadline: November 15

Awarded to applicant with outstanding academic achievement, character, and leadership who will make significant contributions at school. Georgia residents are given priority. Other residents of the Southeast are considered. Nomination by school or Emory Admission Committee is required.

 

D. Abbott Turner Scholarship

Award: $25,240, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be a graduate of a Georgia secondary school, with preference given first to graduates of Brookstone School in Columbus and then to natives of the Chattahoochee Valley. Selection is based upon achievement, character, and service. Nomination by school or Emory Admission Committee is required.

 

Out-of-State Collegiate Scholar

Award: $3,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score between 28 and 29 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1250-1320).

 

Out-of-State Presidential Scholar

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and minimum composite ACT score between 32 and 36 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1400 and 1600).

 

Out-of-State Capstone Scholar

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an out-of-state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 27 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1210 and 1240).

 

Stanley Jackson Reeves Memorial Scholarship

Award: $550, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolled in the College of Business and Public Affairs, demonstrate financial need, have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA, and be a resident of Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

 

Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a Christian woman who is a resident of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be enrolled full time, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Contact the financial aid office for more information regarding applications.

 

Out-of-State Grant

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and be a resident of any state except Kansas. FAFSA is required.

 

Charles Clark Cordle Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have an amateur radio license and be attending school in Alabama or Georgia. Preference is given to residents of Georgia or Alabama with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

 

Guy F. Livingston Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and be a resident of Polk County, TN, Fannin County, GA, or Cherokee County, NC.

 

Willie Mae Cathcart Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to Georgia high school graduates. FAFSA required.

Joel and Ellen Dugan Scholarship

Applicant must be a Georgia resident with a minimum 3.5 GPA (minimum predicted 2.5 GPA), minimum combined SAT I score of 1000, and financial need.

 

Lawrence V. Starkey Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of north Georgia and have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA.

 

Out-of-State Tuition Assistance Scholarship

Applicant must show academic ability and not be a resident of Idaho.

 

Helen James Brewer Scholarship

Applicant must be a lineal descendant of worthy Confederates or collateral descendant who is a member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Applicant must be a member or former member of the Children of the Confederacy or the United Daughters of the Confederacy and reside in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an accredited college or university, and carry a minimum of 12 hours each semester. Applicant must be prepared to pass entrance examination of prospective college or university. Applicant must submit proof of Confederate Military Record, line of descent from Confederate ancestor, a letter of endorsement from sponsoring Chapter, a letter of recommendation, complete financial report, official transcripts, an essay on the significance of a southern heritage, and a wallet-size photo. Original and four copies of the application forms and five copies of all documents, certificates, and letters must be submitted to the Division Director of Education. All inquiries must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

 

McNair Scholars Award

Applicant must be from outside South Carolina. Selection is based upon academic achievement, leadership, and character.

 

Mt. Garfield Non-Resident Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of any state other than Colorado, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Out-of-State Fee Stipend

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 24, and may not be a resident of Missouri.

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of an alumni and may not be a resident of Missouri. Entering freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24. Transfer applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.
