Roth Family Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Bay County, MI high school who will pursue a degree in the sciences or science education. Financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Western High School in Bay County, MI who will pursue a degree in the natural sciences at a four-year college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Jerome Evenson Scholarship

The AK Steel Foundation STEM Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from the Appalachian Ohio area who will pursue post-secondary education in a a field relating to STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). Financial need must be demonstrated.

Unitil Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 14

Applicant must be a high school senior in a Unitil service territory in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts who plans to major in science, technology, engineering, or math. Selection based upon academic merit, financial need, other scholarships awarded, outside student activities and other relevant factors such as the number of hours worked outside of class during the school year.

 

Gertrude S. Goldhaber Prize

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolled in graduate studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook or performing thesis research at Brookhaven National Laboratory, and be a candidate for a doctoral degree.

Applicant must be a product design, interaction design, engineering, or computer science student who best explains how having a shared set of beliefs is important for building a great company.

 

KLL Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is attending a two- or four-year college or university with an interest in education, arts, environment, math, or science. Applicant must have lost the life of at least one parent to cancer before the age of 22. Financial need and involvement in the community, church, school, or other non-curricular activity are required.

Maude and harvey Goehring Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of any Henderson County high school who plans to pursue a degree to teach physical science or mathematics in public secondary schools. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need are required.

 

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 7

Applicant must be an underrepresented African-American or Hispanic high school senior who is attending a high school in a Council of Great City Schools district and plans to enroll in a four-year college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA and plans to pursue a career in an area of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics required.

 

Heinlein Society Scholarship Program

Award: $1,250, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college. One scholarship awarded to a woman majoring in engineering, math/physical sciences (physics/chemistry). Two scholarships awarded to male or female students majoring in science fiction as literature. Students must submit a 500-1,000 word essay on one of the topics listed on the website.

 

Novus Biologicals Scholarship Program

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment with a declared major in a science-related field. Applicant must make a top 10 list of reasons why they think science is awesome and write a personal statement on how they plan to use their degree to further advance science in their field of interest.

 

The Mikkelson Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 11

Applicant must be graduating from a Colorado high school and pursuing a degree in engineering, math, or science at an accredited college/university. Must have minimum 3.7 GPA, 1800 SAT score, and 28 ACT score. Transcript, three recommendations, and personal essay required.

 

USA to Australia Fellowship

Award: $40,000, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be a graduate student or above who will be attending an Australian educational institution majoring in engineering, medicine, sustainability, or technology. Three essays, three letters of reference, a proposed budget, transcripts, and letter of acceptance to an Australian University required. Must be a U.S. citizen and full-time student.

 

Science Student Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and fourth year undergraduate student with a disability who has been accepted into a graduate school pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: mathematics, science, medicine, engineering, or computer science. Essay, proof of citizenship, transcripts, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

Making the Future Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is enrolling or currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a career in a STEM field. Minimum 2.5 GPA and project required.
