AMVETS National Four-Year Scholarship for Veterans

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be an AMVETS member who is a U.S. citizen and a former or current member of the U.S. Armed Forces who has exhausted all government financial aid. Selection is based upon academic achievement and financial need.

UCT Scholarship Program

Applicant must fit into one of the following categories: a college junior or senior whose undergraduate course of study is special education specifically focusing on teaching people with intellectual disabilities; be a teacher of people with intellectual disabilities who needs additional course work to be certified or to retain certification; be a teacher who wishes to become certified to teach people with intellectual disabilities; a teacher who is pursuing an advanced degree in teaching students with intellectual disabilities; or be enrolled in a course to become a certified instructor under a structural trade, vocational or recreational program at a facility for people with intellectual disabilities.

 

National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) Scholarship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolled in an United States accredited institution of higher education for the upcoming fall academic term and fit into one of the following categories: be an Italian American student who is able to demonstrate outstanding potential and high academic achievements or be from any ethnic background majoring or minoring in Italian language, Italian studies, Italian American studies or a related field, demonstrating outstanding potential and high academic achievements. Selection is based upon academic performance, field of study, career objectives, and the potential, commitment, and abilities. All applications must be submitted online.

 

Earl G. Graves Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a junior or senior business major enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States; or a graduate student enrolled or accepted to a master's or doctoral program within a business school at an accredited college or university in the United States (applicant may apply during their sophomore year). Applicant must be in good academic standing and making satisfactory progress toward an undergraduate or graduate degree. Applicant must be in the top 20% of his/her class and be a full-time student without financial need.

 

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Internship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: November 1 (spring); January 30 (summer); June 1 (fall)

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is African-American, Alaskan, Asian-American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, or Native American. Preference is given to residents of the New York City area.

 

Peggy Guggenheim Studentship Program, Venice, Italy

Taylor Statten Memorial Fellowship

Applicant must be under the age of 25 and a graduate of a Canadian university. Particular consideration is given to academically qualified candidates whose career goals and past interests and experience indicate a serious commitment to working with young people. Transcript of university record and three letters of recommendation required. Award is in Canadian money.

 

Association for Glycogen Storage Disease Grant-in-Aid

Applicant must be actively involved with Glycogen Storage Disease such as working with patients, clinics, etc.

 

Hopi Supplemental Grant

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 31 (fall); November 30 (spring); April 30 (summer)

Applicant must be an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. Entering freshman applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA or a minimum GED score of 45%. Continuing student applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Financial need is considered.

Applicant must be attending a Texas college or university. Selection is based upon financial need and credit. Applicant must be a permanent U.S. resident eligible to pay resident tuition at a Texas public college or university.

 

Kenneth H. Ashworth Fellowship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 20

Applicant must be a Texas resident attending a Texas public or private non-profit college or university, and nominated by his or her college dean. Applicant must intend to work in Texas after graduation, and must be able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Physician Education Loan Repayment Part III (Texas Family Practice Residency Training Program)

Award: $9,000, Deadline: April 20

Applicant must be a second- or third-year resident in an approved Texas Family Practice Residency Training Program, or a full-time faculty member for such a program.

 

Susan Schulman Begley Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a woman who is a resident of the Greater Los Angeles area. Applicant must be establishing herself as a single-parent head of household and does not have adequate financial funds for immediate needs due to extreme circumstances following the dissolution of an abusive or emotionally traumatic relationship.

 

Warner, Norcross and Judd L.L.P. Legal Studies Scholarship

Applicant must be a Michigan resident who is a student of color (African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander) accepted to or presently attending an accredited law school or paralegal program. Selection is based upon transcripts, goals and aspirations, financial need and two letters of reference.

 

Patricia Lee Palmer, MD Memorial Resident Loan

Applicant must be a single female Texas resident who is a medical doctor in a Texas residency program.

 

Benjamin Cottone Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Italian heritage. Applicant must be a senior at any public or private college or graduate there of who is commencing graduate studies in the field of medicine or is currently enrolled in an accredited medical school within the United States.

 

ACOR-CAORC Pre-Doctoral Graduate Fellowship

Award: $19,600, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must pursue research or publication projects in the natural and social sciences, humanities, and associated disciplines relating to the Near East. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Hospice and Pallative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) End of Life Nursing Care Research Grant

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license, hold a master's or doctoral degree, or be enrolled in a doctoral program. Project must ready for implementation and be completed within one year. Signed Research Grant Agreement is required. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International and/or HPNF members, other qualifications being equal.

 

Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) Research Grant

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license and hold a master's degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program. Project must be ready for implantation and can be completed within one year. Signed Research Grant Agreement and membership in good standing of the MNRS and Sigma Theta Tau International are required.

 

Western Institute of Nursing (WIN) Grant

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license, hold a master's degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program, have a project that is ready for implementation and can be completed in one year, and have a signed Research Grant Agreement. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International and/or WIN members, other qualifications being equal.

 

Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a master's degree, current license, and enrollment in a doctoral program. Project must be ready for implementation and be completed within one year. Signed Research Grant Agreement must be submitted. Membership in Sigma Theta Tau International or ANAC is required. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International and/or ANAC members, other qualifications being equal.

A cosigner can be added if needed. Must fill all financial aid information by one school. May not exceed total cost of education. Loan is for NJ eligible institution or NJ resident attending an approved out-of-state institution

 

CFUW/A. Vibert Douglas International Fellowship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: November 1 (CFUW); October 1 (IFUW)

Applicant must be a member of IFUW or a member of an IFUW National Affiliate to be eligible to apply. Fellowship may be used for research, study, or training in any country. It is awarded to encourage and enable women graduates to undertake advanced scholarship and original research.
