Applicant must be a first-generation college student who is in need of financial support and is a permanent resident of one of the specified communities in California, Illinois, New York, or Texas. A pool of applicants will be invited to an interview, where the recipient of the fellowship will be selected based upon leadership, professional/extracurricular achievement, commitment to development of communities, and financial need.
