Electrochemical Society Summer Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 1

Applicant must be enrolled in a recognized college or university in the U.S. or Canada. Selection is based upon academic record, letter of recommendation, and personal statement. Award is for summer study and/or research. Recipient may not hold other appointments or fellowships.

 

Summer Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 23

Applicant must be an undergraduate, graduate, or medical student. Each applicant must identify a mentor, with whom he or she will conduct the proposed project.

 

Kappa Epsilon/AFPE/Nellie Wakeman Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have completed one term of advanced studies in the pharmaceutical sciences, be a member in good financial standing of Kappa Epsilon, and be working toward a pharmacy M.S., a Ph.D., or a Pharm.D. (having previously earned a pharmacy B.S.). Financial need is considered.

 

Bibliographical Society of America Fellowship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 1

Award is for one or two months of research into the history of the book trade and publishing. Eligible topics may concentrate on books and documents in any field, but should focus on the book or manuscript (the physical object) as historical evidence. Such topics may include establishing a text or studying the history of book production, publication, distribution, collecting, or reading.

 

Logistics Education Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a logistics or logistics-related major.

 

TPA Scholarship Trust for the Deaf and Near-Deaf

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. resident who suffers from deafness or a hearing impairment and who will benefit from medical, mechanical, specialized treatment or specialized education.

 

Merit Scholarship

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year at a degree-granting institution with plans to continue at their program at that institution. Minimum 3.0 GPA and evidence of leadership by participating in community or campus activities required. Award is for applicants who are able to demonstrate exceptional academic achievements.

 

Financial Needs Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: April 15 (undergraduate students); August 15 (graduate students)

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year at a degree-granting institution and have a financial burden that is preventing them from continuing their studies. Minimum 2.5 GPA and evidence of leadership by participating in community or campus activities are required.

 

A & WMA Scholarship Endowment Trust Fund

Award: $7,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a full-time graduate student who is pursuing courses of study and research leading to careers in air quality, waste management, environmental management/policy/law, and sustainability.

 

National Peace Corps Association Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a member of the NPCA and have completed a at least one year of an inter-cultural experience. Financial need may be considered. Applicant must be enrolled in a degree program.

 

Kansas Educational Benefits for Children of MIA, POW, and Deceased Veterans

Award: -, Deadline: None

Applicant must be the child of a POW, MIA, or KIA Vietnam War veteran who was a Kansas resident upon entering military service. Recipient must attend a state-supported college or vocational-technical school in Kansas.

 

Catherine E. Philbin Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a legal resident of Massachusetts and submit a letter of endorsement from the president of the sponsoring GFWC of Massachusetts club in the community of legal residence, college transcript, personal statement, and a recommendation from the department head of major. SASE required.

 

College Fee Waiver for California National Guard Dependents

Applicant must be a dependent or surviving spouse of a member of the California National Guard who was killed or disabled resulting from an event that occurred while in the active service of the state. Applicant must attend a California state college, university, or community college.

 

Julia Klug Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must demonstrate academic improvement, leadership, involvement in volunteer civic activities, and financial need.

 

E.I. and Minnie Pashby Scholarship

National Scholars Program

Alabama National Guard Educational Assistance

Applicant must be a member of the Alabama National Guard attending an Alabama postsecondary institution.

 

International Student Scholarship

Applicant must hold legal, non-immigrant status and be an international student. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, clearly defined degree goals, and meet all regular admissions requirements. Outstanding academic performance will be recognized.

 

University Club of Foundation Fellowship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be nominated by the Dean. Selection is based upon merit and financial need.

 

CSU Chico Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 14

Applicant must be enrolled at the institution as a full-time student. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

NATA Scholarship

Award: $2,300, Deadline: January 13

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, be a NATA member, pursue athletic training as a career, and be recommended by a certified athletic trainer. Other requirements vary depending on level of study.

 

University of Hawaii at Manoa Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 5

 

National Sculpture Society Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must submit a brief biography and explanation of sculpture background, two recommendations, and a CD of eight to 10 images of work. Financial need is required.

Illinois Future Teacher Corps Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and a legal resident of Illinois. Applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment on at least a part-time basis as an undergraduate in a qualified teacher education program at an approved Illinois institution in a teacher shortage discipline. Preference is given to minority applicants.

 

The Lillian & Samuel Sutton Education Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an Education major and a United States citizen enrolled in an accredited college in the United States. NAACP membership and participation is highly desirable. Undergraduate applicants must be full-time and must possess a GPA of 2.5 (C+). Graduate applicants may be full or part-time students and posess a GPA of 3.0 (B). Renewals will not be automatic.
