Harness Tracks of America Scholarship

Applicant or applicant's parents must be involved in harness racing.

 

Louis Agassiz Fuertes Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must submit application form, two letters of recommendation, and a one- to two-page project proposal. Three copies of all application materials must be submitted. Preference is given to graduate students and young professionals.

 

MLN Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: October 25

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must be a Missouri resident.

 

United South & Eastern Tribes Scholarship

Award: $700, Deadline: April 30

JCC Association Graduate Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be committed to working in a Jewish Community Center full time for two years. Applicant must seek a master's degree in an area leading to professional careers in JCCs or affiliated agencies.

 

Spring Meadow Nursery Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate landscape horticulture program or related discipline at a two or four-year institution. Students in vocational agriculture programs will also be considered. Applicant must be currently enrolled in good standing and carry full-time course load at the time of application and during the semesters for which the scholarship is granted. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to work within the industry (including nursery operation, landscape architecture/design/construction/maintenance, interiorscape, horticultural distribution, or retail garden center) following graduation. Must complete application online.

 

Muggets Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate horticulture, landscape, or related discipline at a two- or four-year institution. Students in vocational agriculture programs will be considered. Undergraduate students must have at least a sophomore standing in a four-year program or senior standing in a two-year program as of the fall semester of scholarship application year. Minimum 2.25 overall GPA required; 2.7 GPA required in major. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to work within the industry (including nursery operation, landscape architecture/design/construction/maintenance, interiorsacap, horticultural distribution, or retail garden center) following graduation. Must complete application online.

 

Educational Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a high school student who is majoring in accounting or a college junior, college senior, or student at the master's level who is a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and able to meet the minimum credit requirements.

 

Lee A. Lyman Memorial Music Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in a music-related field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont Hand Crafters, Inc., Artisanship Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in a visual arts field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Department of National Defense Security and Defense Forum (The Forum)/M.A. Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident and hold an honors bachelor's degree or equivalent prior to award. Knowledge of both official languages required.

 

ASGC Fellowship

Award: $22,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a research proposal related to space and including an extramural research experience at a NASA field center, plan to be involved in ASGC outreach activities, and demonstrate career interests congruent to NASA's aerospace, science, and technology programs. Selection is based upon research proposal, letters of recommendation, resume, standardized test scores, and transcript.

 

Vermont Lakes and Ponds Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in environmental studies at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement, financial need and community service/involvement must be demonstrated.

 

Youth Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate leadership ability and/or participate on a youth ministry team.

 

Margaret Dale Philp Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a woman who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is enrolled in a graduate studies program in the humanities or social sciences. Special consideration is given to study in Canadian history only as a deciding factor, all else being equal. Applicant must reside in Canada.

 

Suburban Hospital Casey Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 30; April 30

Applicant must be a current employee who is enrolled in a nursing or allied health (e.g. radiology technology, respiratory therapy, medical technology, physical therapy, physical therapy assistant, occupational therapy, or physician assistant) undergraduate program or a non-employee who is enrolled in a nursing program leading to a B.S.N. or higher. Minimum 2.5 GPA, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and letter of acceptance/good standing required. Award requires a work commitment at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD, upon completion of degree program.

 

Albert W. Dent Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a minority who is a full-time student entering the fall term of their final year of classroom work in a healthcare management graduate program. Applicant must be a student associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Financial aid must be demonstrated.

 

AASA Educational Administration Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be an outstanding graduate student in school administration who intends to make school superintendency a career.

 

Sorantin Young Artist Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: October 9

Applicant must be a pianist or string player (viola, violin, cello, or bass). Recipient will also receive a performance with the San Angelo Symphony (an additional $1,000 performance fee). Piano and string division winners will each receive $2,000 and runner-ups will receive $1,000. Honorable mentions also awarded totaling $1,000.

 

Student Research Fellowship in Liver/Hepatic Research

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 5

Award is for 10-12 weeks of full-time research under the supervision of a preceptor in hepatic physiology or disease.

 

Taraknath Das Grant

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a citizen of India and have completed at least one year of graduate level study in the United States at time of award.

 

Robert W. Woodruff Graduate Program and Internship Fellowship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited graduate degree program. Recipients must make a two-year commitment to be employed full time at a Boys & Girls Club.

 

Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a Maryland resident attending a Maryland college or university full time with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and at least 60 credit hours, including courses in accounting principles I and II. Applicant must plan to take the CPA exam, and be able to show financial need. Student aid report and transcripts required.

 

Western Civilization Fellowship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: January 17

Applicant must be a member of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute who receives The Intercollegiate Review. Applicant must engage in graduate studies for the purpose of teaching at the college level. Those attending pre-professional (medical, law, divinity, business, etc.) schools are ineligible. Award is designed to address our culture's loss of memory by supporting at the graduate level the study of the institutions, values, and history of the West. Essay on the theme of liberty and the Western idea is required.

 

Sansum Medical Research Institute Student Internship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have completed junior year of undergraduate studies (graduate students also qualify). Must be interested in a career in medicine or the biological sciences. Personal statement, transcripts, and letters of recommendation are required. Award is a 10-week summer medical research internship.

 

Guy and Gloria Muto Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be employed in or have an immediate family member who is employed in the swimming pool industry. Application must be endorsed by an officer of a recognized pool and spa association.

 

Fellowship in New England History and Culture

Award: $750, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must base research on museum and library holdings.

 

Florida Bankers Educational Foundation Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 15; May 15; August 15; November 15

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, take 12 credits hours a year and be attending one of the FBEF's participating universities. Applicant must plan to work at a Florida bank after graduation.

 

Blind Services Association Scholarship Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be legally blind and reside in the six-county Chicago area.

 

John L. Dales Scholarship - Transitional Application

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 15

Transitional application is available to Screen Actors Guild members who have 10 vested years of pension credits or a lifetime earnings of $150,000 earned in the Guild's jurisdiction. Award is generally for members who want to take courses related to the entertainment industry or may want to transition out of the industry.
