North Dakota Career and Technical Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 2

Applicants must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited North Dakota postsecondary institution and maintain a minimum 2.75 college GPA. The scholarship may not exceed $6,000 nor extend beyond six years. Students must complete one unit of algebra II, two units of an approved plan of study of career and technical education coursework and three additional units (two of which must be in the area of career and technical education). Applicants must also obtain a minimum grade of C or .5 unit per class, have a minimum cumulative GPA of a B and receive a minimum ACT score of 24 or a score of at least five on each of three WorkKeys assessments.

 

DePauw University - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated DePauw University as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Applicants may change their top-choice selection by logging onto the Online Scholarship Application (OSA) website. Applicant must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12. Applicant must also be a citizen of the United States or be a U.S. lawful permanent resident.

 

North Dakota Academic Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: June 2

Applicants must plan to enroll full-time at an accredited North Dakota postsecondary institution and maintain a minimum 2.75 college GPA. The scholarship may not exceed $6,000 nor extend beyond six years. Students must complete one unit of algebra II, one unit of math for which algebra II is a prerequisite, two units of the same foreign or Native American language, one unit of fine arts or career and technical education and one additional unit of foreign or Native American language, fine arts or career and technical education. Applicants must also earn a C minimum or a half unit in each class, have a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA, have a minimum score of 24 on the ACT and complete one unit of an advanced placement course and exam or a dual-credit course.

 

Dickinson College - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Dickinson College as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Russ Brannen/KENT FEEDS Memorial Beef Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be incoming freshmen at an Iowa four-year college or university. They must have been actively involved in FFA beef cattle projects. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in cattle showmanship contest and expositions. Selection is based on livestock project participation, academic merit and leadership.

 

Oxford College of Emory University - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Oxford College of Emory University as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Schlutz Family Beef Breeding Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be rising undergraduate freshmen at an Iowa postsecondary institution. They must have experience in beef projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in continuing an involvement in the beef cattle industry after graduation from college. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Maschhoffs Inc. Pork Industry Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be Iowa residents who are active in 4-H or Future Farmers of America (FFA). They must be planning to attend an Iowa postsecondary institution full-time at the undergraduate level beginning in the fall of the application year. They must have experience in swine projects and activities. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to work in the pork industry after graduation. Selection is based on academic merit, awards and recognitions, agricultural projects and professional plans.

 

Furman University - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Furman University as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Swine Industry Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be Iowa entering undergraduate freshmen. They must have a history of involvement in 4-H or FFA, with experience in swine projects. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Chester M. Vernon Memorial Eagle Scout Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicants must registered and active members of a Boy Scout troop, Varsity Scout team or Venturing crew who have received the Eagle Scout award. They must be active members of a synagogue and have received their Ner Tamid or Etz Chaim religious emblems. Students must be high school seniors and demonstrate good citizenship and financial need.

 

The Graduate Programs at George Washington University - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated The Graduate Programs at George Washington University as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Applicants must be Virginia high school seniors who have an unweighted GPA of 3.50 or higher. They must be accepted into or enrolled in an aviation-related program at an accredited postsecondary institution and must have plans to pursue a career in aviation. Selection is based on academic merit, personal essay, leadership skills and financial need.

 

John W. Rogers Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 10

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who have plans to major in agriculture or a banking-related subject at the postsecondary level. Preference will be given to applicants who are planning to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Gordon College - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

They must be active Mu Alpha Theta members who have been of service in the area of mathematics and who have participated in local, regional or national mathematics competitions. Applicants must have plans to pursue a mathematics-related career. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Hendrix College - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Hendrix College as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. MFA Foundation Scholarships

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be high school seniors who live in an area where a sponsoring MFA agency is located. They must have plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university no later than September 1 of the application year. Selection is based on character, extracurricular activities and financial need.

 

Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents' Association Legacy Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who are age 23 or younger. They must be the children or grandchildren of Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents' Association (MGCSA) Class AA, A, D, C, SM, associate or affiliate members. They must be enrolled or plan to enroll full-time at an accredited two- or four-year undergraduate institution. Selection is based on academic merit, extracurricular activities, awards received and stated career goals.

 

Kalamazoo College - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicants must be high school seniors or undergraduate students who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a program of study that is related to the building, construction or precast concrete industries. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

New York State Association of Agricultural Fairs/New York State Showpeople's Association Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Second Friday in April

Applicants must be New York state residents or must attend school in the state of New York and must be high school seniors or current undergraduate students. They can be enrolled in or planning to enroll in any degree program but additional consideration may be given to those pursuing degrees in agriculture, fair management or the outdoor amusement business. They must be attending or planning to attend an accredited postsecondary institution and must be active in local fairs. Selection is based on fair participation, leadership, citizenship and essay.

 

Arkansas State University - Beebe - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5
