Applicants must also have participated in USARS Sanctioned National Championships. Students must be at least 17 years of age and in their final year of high school or must be high school graduates. A minimum GPA in the final year of high school of 3.0 is required. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled or plan to enroll in a college or trade school seeking a degree or certificate and be of good academic standing. Selection is based on membership status, eligibility to compete, academic achievement and financial need.

Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and an SAT combined score of 1800 or greater or an ACT score of 26 or greater. Applicants must be approved by their Thespian Troupe director to apply. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application and audition.

Applicants must be members of the International Thespian Society and seriously plan to pursue theatre as a career. They must be high school juniors or seniors who are declared theatre majors or are registered for theatre classes. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Seniors must have an SAT combined score of 1800 or greater or an ACT score of 26 or greater. Junior applicants must have received an Excellent or Superior in any individual events at the district level. Applicants must audition for the awards. Awards are given in three theatre-related areas including acting, musical theatre and design/technical management. Applicants must be approved by their Thespian Troupe director to apply. An additional bonus is available for those who choose to attend college in Florida. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application and audition.
