Applicants must be residents of or enrolled in accredited schools in Oregon or Washington. Applicants must also be NWDA members (or have a family membership if under 18 years of age). Through travel, field of study, study abroad, heritage or life experience, applicants must clearly be able to illustrate their connection to Denmark. The NWDA scholarship must be used in seeking an academic degree, vocational degree, re-training for employment or training for an career in the arts. Those who have participated in NWDA activities or programs will be given preference.

 

Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Academic All-State Scholarships

Applicants must identify themselves as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender or be an ally of the LGBTQ community. Students must be graduating from high school in the year of application or have graduated the previous year. They must have applied to an accredited college or university to attend for the first time, and they must demonstrate interest in serving the LGBTQ community.

 

Robert D. Blue Scholarship

Applicants must be Iowa residents who plan to attend an Iowa institution of higher learning the following school year. They may be high school seniors or current college students. An essay and two references are required.

Preference is given to students who have some Hawaiian ancestry and have participated in community service or volunteer work. Applicants must be Shopko employees who have been with the company for at least one year or their dependents under the age of 24. Students should be planning to enroll or enrolled full-time at a post-secondary, accredited college, university, vocational or technical school. Factors considered include academic record, leadership and community activities, honors, work experience and future goals.

Applicants must have accepted enrollment in a U.S. institution of higher learning. Up to four letters of recommendation will be considered. Selection is based on "dedication, ambition, academic preparation, financial need and promise of outstanding performance at the advanced level." Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a Masonic background which includes one of the following is required: member of a Masonic youth organization, member of Scottish Rite or son, daughter, granddaughter or grandson of a current or past member of the Southern Jurisdiction of Scottish Rite in good standing.

Male applicants must be members or associates of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Female applicants must be daughters or granddaughters of members or associates and must be current members of the Women's Relief Corps, Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 or Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. All applicants must rank in the upper quarter of their graduating class, have a record of school and community service and provide three letters of recommendation.
