Iowa Arts Council Scholarship for the Arts

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an Iowa resident who will graduate from an Iowa high school and who has been accepted as a full-time undergraduate student at a fully-accredited Iowa college or university with a major in at least one of the following arts areas: dance, literature, music, theatre, folk/traditional arts, or visual arts.

 

Weber State University Presidential Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: January 14

Applicant must be a full-time student at Weber University. Minimum 3.75 cumulative GPA required.

 

Association of Energy Service Companies Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 8

Applicant must be an employee of a national AESC member company or a legal dependent of an employee of an AESC member company. Applicant must be entering or continuing an undergraduate degree, graduate degree or vocational program.

 

AAST Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be the child/dependent of a state trooper who has been a member in good standing for one year prior to the application deadline.

 

Jackie Robinson Award

Award: $7,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a graduating minority student who has achieved a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000 (minimum composite ACT score of 21) and is planning to attend an accredited four-year university in the fall. Applicant must be able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, financial need, and leadership potential. Essay, ACT or SAT scores, and letter of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Arthur E. Copeland Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must be a legally blind male who has participated in a USABA sports programs and is enrolled/enrolling at a two-/four-year, technical institution, or university as a full-time student. Selection is based upon academic records, involvement in extracurricular and civic activities. Essay, transcript and references are required.

 

Helen Copeland Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must be a legally blind female who has participated in a USABA sports programs and is enrolled/enrolling at a two-/four-year, technical institution, or university as a full-time student. Selection is based upon academic records, involvement in extracurricular and civic activities. Essay, transcript and references are required.

 

Lake Erie Electric Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is pursuing a career in the electrical or electrical engineering industry. FAFSA and Student Aid Report are required. Award amount is determined by committee.

 

Philippine American Association of Lorain County Scholarship

Applicant must be of Filipino descent who is able to demonstrate academic achievement and active involvement in extracurricular activities. Essay describing pride in heritage, FAFSA, and Student Aid Report are required. Award amount is determined by committee.

 

South Lorain Merchants Association Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to major in business or finance. Three letters of recommendation and essay discussing "what I plan to do with my education" are required to be submitted. FAFSA and Student Aid Report are required as well.

 

American Legion - Connecticut Oratorical Contest

Applicant must prepare an oration on an assigned topic. Recipients of the regional awards will go on to participate in the national competition.

 

Marianne Bigney Scholarship Award in German Studies

Applicant must be a first-year student entering the university who has already completed three years of German study in high school or abroad and maintained a "B" average in those German courses. Preference will be given to the student who has declared a major or minor in German. Any undergraduate student enrolled in a German class above the intermediate level is also eligible to apply on the basis of need. FAFSA (due by April 1) and Pell eligibility are required.

 

West Virginia Engineering, Science, and Technology Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: Unknown

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien who is enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an engineering, science, or technology program leading to a certificate or associate or bachelors degree at an eligible institution of higher education. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Entrepreneur Grant

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student.

 

Community College Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

 

Leo Adler Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of Powder Valley High School or any high school located in Baker County or be a Baker County/Powder Valley High School student who has acquired a GED certificate from an educational institution in Baker County, Oregon. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Automotive Hall of Fame Educational Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must show a sincere interest in an automotive career, be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university in the United States, and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Application, two letters of recommendation, and most recent transcripts are required to be submitted.

 

Zuni Tribal Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: October 30 (spring semester); April 30 (summer semester); June 30 (fall semester)

Applicant must be a tribal member who is a current college student or entering college freshman.

 

Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship

Applicants must be 9th-12th grade high school students, college students or graduate school students who are legal U.S. residents. Students may study any major and attend any college in the U.S.

 

National Merit Scholarship for Sons and Daughters

Applicant must be the child of an Cargill employee working on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. Applicant should apply during junior year of high school and must take PSAT/NMSC test in October of that year. Selection is based upon test scores, academic record, and other accomplishments. Top Ten Scholarship

Anna Gear Junior Scholarship

Applicant must be a current Junior member of the American Legion Auxiliary and held membership for the past three years and be a senior in an accredited Virginia high school. Applicant must have a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer community service, submit four letters of recommendation, and a 500-word essay titled "The Value of Volunteering in the Community."

 

Walter L. Mitchell Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 11

Applicant must be the child of an International Chemical Workers Union Council member with continuous membership for a minimum of one year. Applicant must be a high school senior who will be enrolled in a higher education program beginning next school year. Selection will be based upon high school grades, recommendations concerning the student, and college entrance tests.

 

C. Raymond & Delsia R. Collins Fund Grant

Exemption for Highest Ranking High School Graduate

Applicant must graduate from an accredited Texas high school as the highest ranked member of his or her class. Award may be used at Texas public colleges or universities only. This is an optional exemption and colleges are not required to participate in this program.

 

Exemption for Peace Officers Disabled in the Line of Duty

Applicant must be a Texas resident who is a peace officer who has been disabled in the line of duty. Award may be used at Texas public colleges and universities only.

 

Natalie Rutherford Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior whose home residence is in Fairfield County, CT or Westchester County, NY, and is planning to further their study of vocal or choral music. Audition required.

 

Susan Schulman Begley Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a woman who is a resident of the Greater Los Angeles area. Applicant must be establishing herself as a single-parent head of household and does not have adequate financial funds for immediate needs due to extreme circumstances following the dissolution of an abusive or emotionally traumatic relationship.

 

National Scholarship Programs

Award: $20,000, Deadline: October 25

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time high school senior in the United States who is progressing normally toward graduation in the upcoming spring/summer and plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation. Applicant must demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income), involvement in co-curricular/community service activities, and minimum 2.0 GPA required.
