Applicant must be a first-year student entering the university who has already completed three years of German study in high school or abroad and maintained a "B" average in those German courses. Preference will be given to the student who has declared a major or minor in German. Any undergraduate student enrolled in a German class above the intermediate level is also eligible to apply on the basis of need. FAFSA (due by April 1) and Pell eligibility are required.
Recipient must register for an average of one German course per term during the award year and must maintain a "B" average in those German classes.
Renewable if recipient continues to meet specific criteria.
