Scholarships are open to undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in a career as a foreign correspondent. Eligible students must be attending American colleges or universities.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and residents of New York for one year or more. They must be registered nurses who are licensed in New York, and they must be accepted into a graduate nursing program at an approved college or university in New York. Students must also agree to four years of service as nursing faculty in the state.

Applicants must have moderate to profound hearing loss since birth or before learning to speak with a hearing loss of 60 dB or greater. Students must use spoken communication as their primary means of communicating and be enrolled in an accredited mainstream university and must also have a minimum unweighted cumulative 3.25 GPA. Northern Nevada residents and those attending northern Nevada schools receive preference. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited two or four year degree or certifying program, will take a minimum of 6 to 8 credits per semester and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Applicants must have been Oklahoma residents for at least five years and be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited chiropractic school. They must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolling in a participating career college. Applicants must also either have a high school diploma, GED or pass an Ability to Benefit test. The minimum age requirement for application is 19. Applicants must also complete the NCCT Educational Success Potential Assessment. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be full-time graduate students pursuing a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, psychology, biochemistry, genetics, nursing, pharmacy or other related areas; have a dissertation research project; have a qualified mentor who can supervise the project and have access to resources to conduct the project. The project must be in the U.S. and its territories. The award is based on the quality of the dissertation project, relevance to epilepsy, the applicant's qualifications, the mentor's qualifications and the quality of the proposed environment.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be graduate students or undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors. They must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering degree program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be members of the Appaloosa Youth Association or the Appaloosa Horse Club and must attend or plan to attend an institute of higher learning. Students may also be the son or daughter of Appaloosa Horse Club members.

The American Bar Association (ABA) sponsors a variety of essay and writing competitions for ABA student members. Applicants must write an article about antitrust and have it published in an ABA-accredited school's law review or journal. Law students currently enrolled or graduating can write eligible articles of general interest to the antitrust law community, such as Civil and Criminal Antitrust Law, Competition Policy, Consumer Protection and International Competition Law. Selection is based on the strength of the essay.

Applicants must have financial need and be enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate program at a participating Oregon college or university. They must be Oregon residents and U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens, and they must be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant.

Applicants must have a parent who served in the United States Armed Forces during Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf, Vietnam or Korean Conflicts, World War I or II or as a Merchant Seaman during World War II. The parent must be or have been a resident of New York State and have died or suffered a disability of 40 percent or more as a result of service, been classified as missing in action or been a prisoner of war. Students with a parent who has received the expeditionary medal for participation in operations in Lebanon, Grenada or Panama and students born with spina bifida whose parent is a Vietnam Veteran are also eligible.

Students will submit a 500-1,500 word essay on one of the following: how technology affects the future, how electricity has changed the world or how technology has impacted your life.

Applicants must pursue an advanced (master's or doctoral) degree at an institution of higher education located in Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, Mexico or the U.S. Applications, resumes, transcripts, GRE scores, three recommendation letters and a course of study are required. Master's students also must submit a statement of educational plans and career objectives or a research plan. Ph.D. students must submit research plans. The master's grant is $5,000, and the doctoral grant is $7,000. The award is based on academics and leadership.

Applicants must be recently tenured humanists and must be employed in tenured positions at U.S. degree-granting institutions during the fellowship. An application, a proposal, a bibliography, a publications list, three reference letters and one institutional statement are required. Previous supported research leaves does not affect eligibility.

Applicants must be high school seniors, undergraduates or first-year graduate students who plan to pursue careers in journalism in Spanish-language television or radio. The award includes an opportunity to intern with the news division of Univision or an affiliate. Applicants must write an essay in Spanish outlining their career goals and provide Spanish-language samples of their work.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students nominated by a faculty member who is also a member of the ACI. Students must be studying engineering, construction management or another relevant field. Applicants may live anywhere in the world, but actual study must take place in the U.S. or Canada. Finalists for a fellowship must attend an ACI convention for an interview. In addition to the monetary award, the scholarship also includes conference fees, mentoring and a potential internship.
