Applicant must be majoring in education with an emphasis on classroom teaching. Preference is given to non-traditional students with at least two years teaching experience and applicants of Hawaiian descent. Minimum 2.8 GPA required.

 

E.E. Black Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be an undergraduate student and a dependent of Tesoro Hawaii or its subsidiaries. Maintained cumulative 3.0 GPA required.

 

Eastside & Northshore Kaua'i Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a resident of one of the following east and northshore Kaua'i areas: Anahola, Kapa'a, Kilauea, Hanalei, Princeville, Kealia, or Wailua. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Elena Albano Maka'alohilohi Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Maui county recovering from a mental health, behavioral or psychological disability. Preference given to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry and past recipients.

Applicant must be a graduate of Baldwin High School and majoring in education.

 

Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship

Applicant must be majoring in the fine arts (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics or photography).

 

Filipino Nurses' Organization of Hawai'i Scholarship

Applicant must be a nursing major of Filipino descent.

Applicant must be a long-time resident of the Hamakua coast on the island of Hawaii and plan to attend school on the island of Hawaii. Preference given to Honoka'a High School graduates.

Applicant must be a graduate of a Kaua'i or Ni'ihau high school or charter school. Preference given to Ni'ihau residents.

Applicant must be a graduate of one of the East Hawaii public schools: Hilo, Honoka'a, Ka'u, Kea'au, Laupahoehoe, Pahoa, or Waiakea. Preference given to applicants pursuing a degree in fine arts and classics. Minimum 2.5 GPA required

Applicant must be a graduate of Kea'au High School, Ke Kula 'O Nawahiokalani'opu'u Ili Laboratory Public Charter School, or Waters of Life New Century Public Charter School planning to attend a four-year college or university. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

H.C. Shipman Vocational Scholarship Fund (VocEd)

Applicant must be a graduate of Kea'au High School, Ke Kula 'O Nawahiokalani'opu'u Ili Laboratory Public Charter School, or Waters of Life New Century Public Charter School and enroll in an A.S. or A.A.S. career and technical degree program within the University of Hawaii Community College system.

 

Haseko Training Fund (VocEd)

Applicant must be a resident of Ewa Beach who will enroll in an A.S. or A.A.S. career and technical degree program within the University of Hawaii Community College system. Preference given to applicants enrolling in a marine related field.

 

Hawai'i Pizza Hut Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii attending a two- or four-year college or university and can demonstrate financial need. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society Nursing Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be accepted into a nursing program at a two- or four-year college or university in Hawaii, or pursue an R.N. or L.P.N. degree with an interest in geriatric nursing.

 

Hawaiian Homes Commission Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be native Hawaiian (of at least 50% Hawaiian blood quantum) or a Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) lessee enrolled as a classified student. Minimum 2.0 GPA required for undergraduates; minimum 3.0 GPA required for graduates. Applicant is NOT required to be a resident of Hawaii.

Applicant must be an undergraduate student with a major in international business, international relations, political science or public administration.

 

Hew-Shinn Scholarship Fund (VocEd)

Applicant must be a Maui county resident pursuing vocation education in the U.S., or currently enrolled in vocational education programs in the University of Hawaii Community College system.

 

Hideko & Zenzo Matsuyama Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduate of a high school or secondary education equivalent (General Education Diploma) in the state of Hawaii. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Preference may be given to applicants of Japanese ancestry born in Hawaii.

 

Hilo Chinese School Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a full-time student and resident of the island of Hawaii. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Preference given to descendants of Hilo Chinese School alumni and applicants of Chinese ancestry.

 

Ho'omaka Hou Scholarship

Applicant must have overcome substance abuse. Letter of recommendation required.

 

Hoku Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university as either an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in astronomy, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or technology sciences. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Hokuli`a Foundation Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of North of South Kona who plans to study in the fields of healthcare, education or social work. Preference given to applicants who demonstrate an emphasis in advancing Native Hawaiian culture.

 

Hon Chew Hee Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or art school with a major in fine arts. Preference may be given to students focusing on painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, printmaking or textile. Minimum 2.7 GPA and two letters of recommendation required (one from an art instructor).

 

Ida M. Pope Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a female of Hawaiian ancestry pursuing a major in education, health, or science (including counseling and social work). Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Iwamoto Family Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must have graduated from a Kauai high school within the last three years and be currently enrolled in a college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Iwamoto Family Vocational Scholarship Fund (VocEd)

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must have graduated from a Kauai high school within the last three years and be enrolled in a technical or vocational education school. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Jean Ileialoha Beniamina Scholarship for Ni'ihau Students Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a resident of Kaua'i or Ni'ihau Island. Minimum 2.7 GPA required. Preference may be given to current Ni'ihau residents, Kaua'i residents who are one or two generations removed from Ni'ihau Island, or those who are proficient or fluent in the Hawaiian language. Additional essay is required.
