College Access Foundation of California Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student accepted to Eastern Illinois University. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Parents Club Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 14

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate in good academic standing with at least 12 credit hours completed.

 

Summer Work Room and Board Scholarship

Applicant must be an admitted student who has been selected to participate in the on-campus summer work program. Working one six week session provides room and board for the following fall term; working two six week sessions provides room and board for the following fall and spring terms. Priority consideration is given to students previously enrolled.

 

ASL Interpreting Award

Applicant must be a full-time student who is enrolled in an ASL Interpreting major and who exhibits a skill/talent in American Sign Language. Letters of recommendation, DVD portfolio, and essay are required.

 

Communications Performance Award

Applicant must be a full-time student who is majoring in communications. Essay, interview with communications faculty, and application are required.

 

Merit Scholar Award

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum ACT score of 32 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1400) or be a National Merit Finalist. Transcripts and application are required to be submitted.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Award

Applicant must be a transfer student with a minimum of 30 credit hours, a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, and who is in good academic standing.

James 'Rhio' O'Connor Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student at a college or university in the United States. Essay on whether we are making any progress in finding a cure for cancer is required. Some suggested topics for the essay include: Why has the incidence rates of many cancers continue to increase? Why is cancer the leading cause of death by disease of children and adults under the age of 85? What should be done to improve progress in curing or preventing cancer?

 

ERC Cancer Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a college senior who has successfully completed at least one actuarial examination. Applicant must rank in the top quarter of their class and have been nominated by a professor at their school.

 

Actuarial Diversity Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who is pursuing a degree that may lead to a career in the actuarial profession.

 

Actuary of Tomorrow - Stuart A. Robertson Memorial Scholarship

Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship

Applicant must be a student at the University of the West Indies who demonstrates a strong record of accomplishment, leadership qualities, and commitment to becoming an actuary.

 

Burl Cockrell Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be pursuing a career in nursing or a related health profession (excluding those who intend to become physicians). Financial need and above average academic ability are required.

 

Skip Bishop Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, or Pulaski Counties, or from the City of Radford. Applicant must be pursuing a post-secondary degree in theatre or fine arts. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Jim Gwazdauskas Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must have been a member of the Blacksburg High School men's soccer team who is pursuing post-secondary education at any trade or technical school, college or university.

 

Warren Lloyd Holtzman Freedom Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,800, Deadline: February 6

Applicant must be pursuing education at a college, university, or post-secondary school. Financial need, minimum 2.5 GPA, and additional essay (500 to 2,000 words) about the benefits to society of personal freedom, initiative, calculated risk-taking and a free enterprise system are required. Minimum award amount is for applicants attending a two-year institution; maximum is for applicants attending a four-year institution.

 

Diana Love Legacy Instrumental Music Scholarship Fund
