Multicultural Advancement Scholarship

Award: $4,125, Deadline: February 15 (Priority)

Applicant must be a full-time student who has demonstrated interest though educational aspirations or past activities in the advancement of minorities in American society. Selection is based upon academic achievement, exceptional personal talent, appropriate work or service experiences, demonstrated leadership, a history of overcoming disadvantages, and an ability to communicate with minority and majority student groups. On-campus residency during their freshman and sophomore years is required.

 

Parry Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 15 (undergraduate applicants); June 16 (graduate applicants)

Applicant must demonstrate financial need. Junior applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Senior applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Graduate applicant must have a minimum 3.75 GPA.

 

OU Club of Clinton Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident of Clinton, Okla.

 

Louise McKinney Post-Secondary Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Selection is based upon academic ability. Applicants who are studying in Alberta must be nominated by his or her school awards office. Alberta residents studying outside Alberta in programs not offered in Alberta must contact the sponsor.

 

Charles S. Noble Scholarship for Study at Harvard

Award: $10,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicants must be Alberta residents who plan to apply or are enrolled full-time in any year of study in an undergraduate program at Harvard.

 

Laurence Decore Scholarship for Student Leadership

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen and a resident of Alberta and be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership in the areas of student government, student societies, clubs, or organizations.

 

Northern Alberta Development Bursary

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be an Alberta resident for at least three years and be committed to a life and career in northern Alberta.

 

Jimmie Condon Athletic Scholarship

Award: $1,800, Deadline: November 1

Applicants must be Alberta residents and be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, professional or graduate program at a university, college or technical institute in Alberta.

 

Charles S. Noble Junior Football Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must be an Alberta resident and enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, professional or graduate program at a university, college or technical institute in Alberta with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicant must be a playing member on an Alberta Junior Football team.

 

Charles S. Noble Junior A Hockey Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicants must be Alberta residents and enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in Alberta. Applicants must be or have been a participant in at least one full season of hockey in the Alberta Junior "A" Hockey League and have played during the last year, or are currently playing. Applicants must have maintained a minimum average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in their previous semester. Students entering their first semester of post-secondary study do not have to meet this requirement.

 

Nurturing New Voices Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Native American who is interested in a newspaper or magazine career.

 

Photojournalism Scholarship

Applicant must be a Native American.

 

Broadcast Journalism Scholarship

Celanese Corporation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24).

 

Rebekah Fisk Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program in the United States and have completed a minimum of one year in a dental hygiene curriculum. Applicant must be an active member of the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association or the American Dental Hygienists' Association. Minimum 3.0 GPA, full-time enrollment status, and financial need of at least $1,500 are required.

 

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: Late February

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Eskimo/Aleut, Hispanic, Indian.

 

HAES Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student from an accredited institution who utilizes Health at Every Size (HAES) tenants in their studies and research.

Applicant must be Native American, be at least age 18, have serious interest in a career in print journalism, be a full-time college student or have worked on a tribal publication for two years or less, be available for conference July 4-11, and submit proof of age and three copies each of application, essay, work samples, resume, and references.

Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program

Award: $2,400, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be a member of a minority group that is under-represented at the doctoral level or a low-income, first-generation college student.

 

J. Wayne Reitz Undergraduate Scholars Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 6

Applicant must be enrolled full time, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have a high standard of ethical behavior, and demonstrate leadership and community service through work with student organizations, academic honoraries, or other organizations.

 

Daniel Sinclair Bredahl Academic Year Abroad Scholarship
