Applicants must attend UCLA and have graduated from a California public high school. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need.

 

Miller/Shigemura Scholarship

Applicants must be first-time, first-year UCLA College students. New recipients must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need. In order to renew, recipients must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Preference is given to U.S. citizens and California residents.

 

Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Applicants must be full-time students who have completed no more than 12 months of graduate study and be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals or permanent residents. The fields of study are interdisciplinary, computer and information science and engineering, mathematical sciences, geosciences, psychology, social sciences, life sciences, chemistry, physics and astronomy and engineering.

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, high school graduates or GED recipients who are legally undocumented residents of the U.S. They must have plans to enroll at an accredited postsecondary institution located in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. AAS Scholarship

Applicants must be employed at an Ohio child care center that has been given a one-, two- or three-star rating through the Step Up to Quality initiative. They must have held their position at the center for at least a year and must work there for 30 or more hours per week. They must earn less than $15 per hour and be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an associate's degree program in early childhood education. Scholarship recipients must agree to stay with the program for at least one year after winning the award. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarships

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program in nursing or nurse anesthesia. They must be in the U.S. Army, planning to enter the U.S. Army, or be the parent, spouse or child of a U.S. Army officer. They cannot already be receiving funding from any source that is associated with the U.S. Army. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Red Oak Foundation Scholarship

Applicants must be Texas residents who have participated in a University Interscholastic League (UIL) academic event. They must have plans to become a K-12 public school teacher in Texas and be planning to attend Texas Wesleyan University or a four-year public university located in Texas. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Robert R. Robinson Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be undergraduate juniors, undergraduate seniors or graduate students who are attending a Michigan college or university. They must be majoring in public administration and must have plans to pursue a career in that field. Selection is based on academic merit, extracurricular activities and stated career goals.

 

Alice Mahone Business and Professional Women's Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 7

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors at a school located in Bedford County, Virginia. They must demonstrate academic achievement and must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must be accepted at a post-secondary institution that is not a community college. Children of Bedford Professional Women (BPW) members are ineligible. Selection is based on class rank, financial need and extracurricular activities.

 

Virginia Ruff Scholarship for Continuing Education

Applicants must be U.S. citizens who have been residents of Bedford County, Virginia for at least the past two years. They must be pursuing higher education in order to re-enter the job market, to become economically self-sufficient or to advance their current careers. They must be accepted into an accredited degree program and demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Virginia Police Chiefs Foundation College Scholarship Program

Applicants must be the dependent children of active police officers on duty in the Commonwealth of Virginia, excluding children of sheriff's deputies and federal officers. They must be working towards their first undergraduate degree and be currently accepted or enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university. Selection is based upon financial need, academic success, 500-word essay and achievements in the community.

 

Nebraska Academy of Sciences High School Scholarships

There are six scholarships given to Nebraska high school seniors including those who plan to study geology, earth sciences, prairie and soil conservation, climate and environmental change and business and the environment.

 

C. Bertrand and Marian Othmer Schultz Collegiate Scholarship

Applicants must be sophomores or juniors who attend a four-year, accredited college or university in Nebraska and major in a natural science including chemistry, physics, biology or geology. Students must plan to enter a career in a science-related industry, science teaching or scientific research.

 

P.O. Pistilli Undergraduate Scholarship for Advancement in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering

Applicants must be high school seniors who are from an underrepresented group (African American, Hispanic, Native American, women or disabled). Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have demonstrated high achievement in math and science courses and have financial need. Applicants must also intend to pursue a career in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science.

 

Zale Parry Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate level studies and must be a certified diver. Selection is based on merit.

 

Emmett J. Doerr Memorial Scout Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be practicing Catholics and full-time high school seniors who hold a leadership role in their scouting unit and are actively involved with a Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship. Students must have provided service to their home parish and earned the Ad Altare Dei or Pope Pius XII Religious Award. Applicants must also have earned the Eagle Scout, Silver Award or Quartermaster Award and must currently hold a leadership role in a community or school organization other than scouting.

 

OB/GYN Group Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and enrolled or planning to be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university program. Applicant must be a student in the state of Utah. Selection is based on an essay.

 

School of Science Scholarship for Transfer Students

National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholarship

Applicants must be high school seniors, undergraduate or graduate level college pursuing a degree that will lead to a career in the science, technology, engineering or math fields. Preference given to those students with space related interests. Students must be U.S. citizens. Applicants will submit, along with the application, a video of themselves speaking on the topic of "Why you are inspired by space." Finalists will be expected to speak at the Goddard Memorial Dinner in March.

 

Apartment List Scholarship

Fostering the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Applicants must be in grades 9-12. Students will work in teams of two to four and choose a work of literature that emphasizes the struggles and achievements of a person seeking to become an entrepreneur. The book will then be compared to real-life entrepreneurs. Teams will submit an essay outlining the main character and his/her contributions to the theme of the book including a works cited and also a video that visually demonstrates what was learned during the project.
