Applicant must also satisfy one of the following: (1) be of Portuguese descent, (2) enroll in Portuguese classes in a four-year college or university, or (3) be a member of an organization whose scholarships are administered by the Luso-American Education Foundation. Selection is based upon potential for success in college, financial need, and leadership. Unusual talents will be recognized.
