National Merit Finalist Scholarship

Applicant must be selected by the National Merit Foundation, have a minimum 3.5 GPA, and participate in the honors program.

 

Robert Hardin Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior with the highest GPA from a high school in Carter, Elizabethton, Hampton, or Unicoi County, Tenn.

Capstone Presidential Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.85 GPA, have completed 90 credit hours (must have been enrolled at Columbia Coll for previous three years), and submit school's financial aid form. Previous Capstone Scholarship recipients are not eligible. Financial need is not considered.

 

Women in Geographic Education Award

Award: $500, Deadline: February 24

Applicant must be a woman with a minimum 3.0 GPA (3.5 in geography courses). Essay is required.

 

Parish Grant

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a Student Member of ASCET and a U.S. citizen. Minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and resume required. Three recommendations (one must be from a faculty member in the Engineering Technology Department) and a statement of goals required.

 

Graduate Scholarship for a Disabled Student

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 18

Applicant must have a disability and must submit application form, cover letter describing goals, statement of good standing, official transcripts with GPA, confidential recommendations, and essay. Master's level students must be enrolled in or accepted to a program ccredited by te American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Council on Academic Accreditation.

 

Research Grant in Speech Science

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 4

Applicant must have earned his or her doctorate degree within the last five years. Recipient must complete his or her investigation within a one-year period and submit a final report. Applicant must prepare a formal research grant proposal. Applicant should request grant guidelines and forms to prepare an application.

 

George A. Hall/Harold Mayfield Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must lack access to funds and facilities available at colleges, universities, or government agencies. Two letters of support and an application form including a one- to two-page project proposal are required. Three copies of all application materials must be submitted.

 

Tribal Priority Scholarship

Applicant must be an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. Recipient is encouraged to apply degree to Hopi Tribal Goals and Objectives.

 

Petry-Lomb Scholarship/Research Grant

Calavo Scholarship

Awarded to students majoring in Agriculture at an accredited college or university. Applicant must be related or married to a member of Calvo Growers of California.

 

Community and Folk Arts Scholarship

Applicant must have graduated from a Ventura County high school, be enrolled at an accredited college or university, and demonstrate an interest in the arts.

 

Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students

Applicant must be a Michigan resident who is the dependent of a veteran. Applicant must be a non-traditional student returning to higher education after an interruption, a degree-seeking student over age 22 attending college in Michigan for the first time, or a student over age 22 attending a Michigan vocational or trade school. Selection is based upon academic ability, character/leadership, initiative, and financial need. Transcripts or work history required.

 

Department of National Defense Security and Defense Forum (The Forum)/R.B. Byers Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Award: $35,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who holds a Ph.D. or equivalent. Knowledge of both official languages required. Applicants who hold a tenure-track appointment at any level are not eligible.

 

Upward Bound Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a R.N., L.P.N., or C.N.A., be a member of or be sponsored by a member of NADONA/LTC, and be employed in Long Term Care with plans to remain employed in Long Term Care for at least years after graduation. Applicant must submit an essay of at least 100 words describing why they are seeking the degree.

 

Airgas - Terry Jarvis Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen who is enrolled in a welding engineering discipline with a minimum 2.8 GPA.

 

Excellence in Student Teaching Award

Students engaged in student teaching experiences, as defined by the teacher preparation institution, are eligible to participate in the program. Applicant must be certified by an official of the college/university charged with over-seeing students engaged in student teaching. Membership in Phi Delta Kappa is required.

 

California Sea Grant State Fellow Program

Applicant must be a graduate student with a degree in a marine-related field at a California university. Applicants must demonstrate interest and experience in both marine science and public policy.

 

Airgas-Jerry Baker Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled in a welding engineering program with a minimum 3.0 engineering GPA (2.8 GPA overall). Financial need and essay are required.

 

Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior who will be entering a Georgia university, college, or technical institute (if program is two or more years) as a full-time student in the fall following their high school graduation. High school record/transcript, SAT scores, qualification from high school teacher, essay on community banking, and list of leadership positions, activities, honors, and awards are required to be submitted. Selection will be based upon merit; financial need is not a consideration.
