The Herbert Lehman Education Fund Scholarship

American Express Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled full- or part-time and working a minimum of 20 hours per week at a AH&LA member hotel with at least 12 months' hotel experience, or be a dependent of a qualified employee and have past employment experience in the hospitality industry.

 

AH&LEF Incoming Freshman Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the upcoming semester, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0. Preference given to high school graduates of the Lodging Management Program (LMP).

 

AH&LEF Graduate Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 12

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, who has an undergraduate degree in hospitality, four years employment in the lodging industry after graduating, or is enrolled in a graduate hospitality management program. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Taylor Michaels Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 4

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a graduating high school senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA and living within Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Lansing, Los Angeles County, or the New York Metro area. Selection will be based upon the essay, academic achievement, and evidence of leadership and community service.

Applicant must be a graduate student who is pursuing advanced studies in agribusiness that supports the potato industry. Selection is based upon past academic achievement, leadership abilities and potato-related areas of graduate study (i.e. agricultural engineering, agronomy, crop and soil science, entomology, food sciences, horticulture, plant pathology, etc.).

 

Shirley Elings Memorial

Stuck at Prom Scholarship

Applicant must create and accessorize their prom outfit with duct tape. Membership of the Duck Tape Club is required to apply. Award amounts will be matched and also give to the recipient's school.

 

Ruth Peterson Memorial (Kappa Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon)

The Florence Wood Scholarship

Applicant must be an Arkansas resident enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy educational program in Arkansas.

 

AACT John Kitt Memorial Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 18

Applicant must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior who is attending an accredited, four-year college or university in the United States who is majoring in food science, chemical science, biological science, or related area. A demonstrated interest in confectionery technology is required.

 

District of Columbia Association Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: December 4

Applicant must be a resident of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area (DC, MD, and northern VA) enrolled in the occupational therapy educational program at Howard University. Applicant must also be a member of the District of Columbia Occupational Therapy Association.

 

Kansas Association Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: December 4

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited or developing occupational therapy program, and a member of the Kansas Occupational Therapy Association.

 

Starfleet Academy Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be an active STARFLEET member who has been a member for at least one year on June 30 of the year applying and who is attending a community college, four-year college/university, technical school, junior college, or graduate school.

 

Louisiana Association Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: December 4

Applicant must be a Louisiana resident enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy educational program in Louisiana at the professional level.
