Applicant must be a resident of North of South Kona who plans to study in the fields of healthcare, education or social work. Preference given to applicants who demonstrate an emphasis in advancing Native Hawaiian culture.

Applicant must attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or art school with a major in fine arts. Preference may be given to students focusing on painting, drawing, sculpting, ceramics, printmaking or textile. Applicant must be a resident of Kaua'i or Ni'ihau Island. Minimum 2.7 GPA required. Preference may be given to current Ni'ihau residents, Kaua'i residents who are one or two generations removed from Ni'ihau Island, or those who are proficient or fluent in the Hawaiian language.
