SDE Fellowship

Applicant must be a woman who holds a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, and is able to show documented evidence of outstanding ability and promise in research.

 

The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund Grant

Award: $12,000, Deadline: January 9

Applicant must be a woman who has a record of service to women and children and a commitment to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries. Applicant must be enrolled at an accredited United States or Canadian educational institution and who intends to continue to be enrolled. Applicant must be planning to return to her country within two years of completing use of the MMMF grant and perform at least two years of service. Financial need and satisfactory academic performance must be demonstrated.

 

Moody Scholar Program

Award: $2,000, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must have a minimum 88 average, be in the top quarter of their class, must attend college in the state of Texas and must demonstrate financial need. Applicant must be a graduate of a Galveston County high school.

 

International Study Program Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1 (summer and fall); November 1 (spring)

Applicant must be participating in a program of study administered by the council, a council member institution, or a university appointed as an official ISIC issuing office.

General Henry Hugh Shelton National Student Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must be eligible to be accepted to North Carolina State University. Selection will be based upon: leadership experience and potential; evidence of personal character and integrity; orientation toward community and service; commitment to personal growth; commitment to physical fitness and wellness; and understanding of and interest in maximizing the opportunities of the Leadership Center and/or the Caldwell Fellows Program.

 

Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association

Award: $2,800, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a Seabee who will enroll or is currently enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year degree program. Financial need, scholastic record, leadership, good citizenship, and character must be demonstrated. Award is not available for part-time students, graduate students, or great grandchildren of Seabees.

AUCC Scholarship Program For Students With Disabilities

Applicant must be a disabled Canadian citizen or a permanent resident for at least two years who is enrolled full-time at a Canadian degree-granting institution or a community college where he or she is following a degree program under the college-university transfer system.

 

Christian Ministry Dependent Grant

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a full-time student who is the child of a full-time Christian worker who is the primary support for the family and whose ministries are consistent with the mission of The Master's Coll. Eligible workers include Christian school administrators and teachers, pastors, associate pastors, youth pastors, missionaries, and evangelists. Freshman applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA. Financial need is considered.

Essay regarding the following question is required: 'According to the four required readings (found on sponsor's application page), what policy changes should the government pursue in order to best foster economic prosperity?" Contest is designed to challenge students to creatively solve problems in the realm of public policy through writing. Recipient will receive maximum award amount; second and third place will receive average and minimum award amounts, respectively.
