Scholarship for High School Seniors and Graduates

Applicant must be interviewed by an Air Force officer before the application will be presented to a selection board. Applicant must be a high school student or graduate, and meet general physical requirements. Students must be 17 years old by October 31 and under 27 by June 30 in the year of college graduation and Air Force commission, and never have enrolled in college full time.

 

Albert Baker Fund

Award: $6,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an earnest Christian Science student, be a member of the Mother Church, the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston; or one of its branch churches. Applicant must be academically sound, and attend (or have been accepted by) an accredited post-secondary school or Christian Science nurses' training. Selection is based upon application, interview, and financial need. Recipient needs an adult co-signer who is a U.S. citizen and resides in the U.S. (spouses do not qualify).

 

Educational Loan

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, an R.N., a member of AANA, have completed at least 12 months of an anesthesia program, show need, and submit a letter of recommendation. A loan is available to those students incurring sudden need while enrolled in a nurse anesthesia program. Award may be used at Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs-accredited schools only.

 

American Fellowship Summer/Short-Term Research Publication Grant

Award: $6,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be a woman and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Award is for college or university faculty or independent researchers to prepare a completed publication. Selection is based upon scholarly experience, teaching experience, and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in the community, profession, or field of research. This award is for postdoctoral research. Recipient must have time available for eight weeks of research.

 

American Fellowship Postdoctoral Research Leave Fellowship

Award: $30,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be a woman who has earned a doctorate by the application deadline. Selection is based upon scholarly excellence, teaching experience, and active commitment to helping women and girls through service in her community, profession, or field of research. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. One fellowship is designated specifically for a woman from an underrepresented minority group.
