University Scholars Award

Applicant must be a domestic non-resident student who is not invited to the Honors College. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT test score of 24 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100) required.

 

Chancellor's Merit Award

Applicant must be able to fall into one of these categories: (a) a non-Indiana resident, ranking in the top quarter of their class, with a minimum 1650 composite SAT (composite ACT score of 24 with writing), or or have earned a SAT score of 1800 (27 ACT with writing); (b) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0; (c) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university having completed 24 credit hours or more at more than one college with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at each institution attended. Transfer students with fewer than 24 credits completed will be evaluated on their high school record and test scores. International students who are beginning at the university must have scored a minimum 600 on the TOEFL if the test was paper-based or a minimum of 87 if the TOEFL was Internet-based. International students must ask the Office of International Education to recommend them for scholarship consideration.

 

Opportunity Grant

Incentive Scholarship

Applicant must be a student who resides outside of Indiana and have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

 

South Carolina Lottery Tuition Assistance Program

FAFSA is required. Applicant must be a South Carolina resident who is enrolled as a degree-seeking student in a minimum of six credit hours each term. Applicant must not owe a refund or repayment on any State or Federal financial aid and not be in default on a Federal student loan.

 

South Carolina HOPE Scholarship

Applicant must be a first-time entering freshman who is a full-time student attending an eligible four-year institution in South Carolina. Applicant must not owe a refund or repayment on any State or Federal financial aid and not be in default on a Federal student loan; must have never been convicted of any felonies and have not been convicted of any second or subsequent alcohol/drug-related misdemeanor offenses within the past academic year.

 

South Carolina Need-based Grant

Applicant must be enrolled and attending or have completed at the time of grant disbursement a minimum of six credit hours if part-time or 12 credit hours if full-time for the term. Foster care youth may receive the maximum award in addition to Need-based Grant funds specifically for foster care youth; youth must self-identify by May 1. FAFSA is required. Applicant must be a high school senior planning to attend college or a current college student who will be continuing their undergraduate studies this fall. Applicant must live in one of the following states: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.

 

ASHRAE Region IV Benny Bootle Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time, undergraduate, engineering or architecture student in an ABET or NAAB accredited program.

 

Out of State Reduced Tuition Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top fifth of his/her class, and must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Transfer applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

BB&T Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a resident of District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia.

 

Wachovia Scholars

Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students based on academic standing and financial need. Applicant must be from the Wachovia service area.

 

Regional Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time, matriculated freshmen who is a graduate from a high school outside of New York State.

 

Valedictorian Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of public and private high schools in South Carolina or Richmond and Columbia Counties in Georgia. Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA and be ranked first in their class.

 

Cook Scholarship

Applicant must reside in a state other than New York and must graduate from a private or parochial school. Applicant must have a minimum "85" average and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1000.

 

Mid-America Region Grant

President's Out of State Scholar Award

Applicant must be an incoming non-New York state resident admitted as an undergraduate freshman in Group I or Group II of the SUNY admissions matrix. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain residence outside of New York state, and live in a university residence hall. The Director of Admissions will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application, SAT scores, and high school grades.

 

President's International Scholar Award

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain a residence outside of New York and international student status, maintain normal academic progress, live in a university residence hall, and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Director of International Education will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application and transcript.

 

Akron Advantage Blue Award

Akron Advantage Gold Award
