Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 7

Applicants must be high school seniors or college freshmen or sophomores who are residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for high school seniors or 2.75 for college students. Selection is based on academic excellence, community involvement, leadership skills, awards and honors and financial need.

 

Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Academic All-State Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Open

Applicants must be high school seniors who are nominated by their school principals or superintendents. They must have an ACT score of 30 or higher or an SAT score of 1340 or higher or be a semi-finalist for a National Merit, National Achievement or National Hispanic Scholarship. An essay is required.

 

MFA Foundation Scholarships

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be high school seniors who live in an area where a sponsoring MFA agency is located. They must have plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university no later than September 1 of the application year. Selection is based on character, extracurricular activities and financial need.

 

CareerTech Foundation Teacher Recruitment/Retention Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: each semester

Applicants must be Oklahoma residents who are attending an accredited postsecondary institution located in Oklahoma. They must be current CareerTech educators who are pursuing a CareerTech certification or credential or they must be undergraduate juniors or seniors who are seeking to become CareerTech educators. They must be enrolled for at least 3 credits per term and must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Tri-State High School Rodeo Association Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must reside in Texas, Oklahoma or New Mexico and have sold at least two hundred 50/50 tickets. Selection is based on academic achievement and honors, extracurricular activities, leadership experience, rodeo experience and the essay.

 

Lee Magnon Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be studying engineering and/or science at their chosen school. Applicants must have permanent residence in the NACE Central Area which includes the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Applicants must be pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in turfgrass management, members of the Oklahoma Golf Course Superintendent's Association (OGCSA) or family members of an OGCSA member. They must be enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time students at an accredited postsecondary institution. Selection is based on academic merit, extracurricular activities and financial need.

 

Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors Scholarships

Applicants must be high school seniors who are planning to study land surveying in college, or they must be working toward licensure under the direct supervision of a professional land surveyor. High school seniors must be Oklahoma residents who have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants who are already working in the field must be associate members of the Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors (OSLS) and must be recommended by a registered professional land surveyor. Selection is based on citizenship, leadership and commitment to professional land surveying.

 

Oklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program (OTAG)

Applicants must be Oklahoma residents who are attending eligible undergraduate institutions in Oklahoma. They must be graduates of Oklahoma high schools and must have resided with their parents in Oklahoma while attending high school for at least two years before graduating. They must demonstrate financial need. Qualified undocumented immigrants are eligible for this award. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Chiropractic Education Assistance Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: August 15

Applicants must have been Oklahoma residents for at least five years and be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited chiropractic school. They must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

 

Oklahoma's Promise

Applicants must be Oklahoma residents who are enrolled in the eighth, ninth or tenth grade at an Oklahoma high school (or are homeschool students between the ages of 13 and 15) and whose parents' income is less than $50,000 per year. They must take certain college preparatory courses in high school, maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher and "stay out of trouble" such as gangs, drugs or alcohol.

 

Academic Scholars Program

Applicants can qualify for the program by being Oklahoma or out-of-state students who are named National Merit Scholars, National Merit Finalists or U.S. Presidential Scholars; by being Oklahoma residents who score above the 99.5 percentile on the SAT or ACT or by being nominated by an Oklahoma public college or institution. Applicants must attend an Oklahoma college or university. Selection is based on academic merit.

 

William P. Willis Scholarship Program

Applicants must be Oklahoma residents who are enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at an Oklahoma State System institution. They must also meet low-income criteria.

 

Scholars for Excellence in Child Care

Applicants must be child care professionals in Oklahoma. They must be pursuing or planning to pursue additional education or credentials in early childhood education or child development. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Oklahoma Tuition Equalization Grant Program (OTEG)

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a private institution of higher learning full-time. They must have a family income of no more than $50,000, make satisfactory academic progress and not have already earned a bachelor's degree.

 

Markley Scholarship

Applicants must attend a college/university in the former NACA South Central Region (AR, LA, NM, OK, TX); must be enrolled as juniors, seniors or graduate students at a four-year institution or as sophomores at a two-year institution and must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
