Alumni Legacy Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of a parent who has a degree from U of Arkansas, Fayetteville and is a current member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. Applicant must be a nonresident of Arkansas and have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a composite ACT score of 24-36 (combined SAT I score of 1110-1600). Applicant must submit Arkansas Alumni Legacy Data Form and apply for and be accepted for admission.

 

Legacy Tuition Reduction Grant

Zimmermann Scholarship

Applicant must be of Swiss descent or have one parent who is a Swiss citizen, be a permanent resident of Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania, and have a minimum 3.8 GPA.

 

Non-Resident Award

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who is not a resident of Michigan. Applicant must meet Oakland admission criteria and live in university housing for two years.

 

American Legion - Connecticut Oratorical Contest

Global Tiger Scholarship

Applicant must be a non-resident International undergraduate student, with high GPA and ACT scores, 575 or above for TOEFL score. Selection is based upon leadership potentials, two letters of recommendation from a teacher of school master requested.

 

Nutmeg Scholarship

Applicant must be a Connecticut high school senior with exceptional academic accomplishments, and be an outstanding student.

 

Day of Pride Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be an outstanding Connecticut high school senior from a disadvantaged background who has proven academic ability in high school grades, test scores, class rank, and letters of recommendation. Selection is based upon commitment to diversity, multiculturalism, demonstrated leadership, contributions to community, and demonstrated financial need.

 

National Scholars Award

Blue & Gold Level 2 Scholarship

Applicant must have out-of-state residency status who is a National Merit Scholar and has listed Michigan State University as a first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

 

University Scholars Award

Applicant must be a domestic non-resident student who is not invited to the Honors College. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT test score of 24 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100) required.

 

Natalie Rutherford Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior whose home residence is in Fairfield County, CT or Westchester County, NY, and is planning to further their study of vocal or choral music. Audition required.

 

Presidential Scholars Award

Applicant who ranks first or second in their graduating class will automatically qualify for the scholarship. An additional one-time Fellowship available for Presidential Scholar to engage in a research experience with faculty in an area of his/her interest.

 

Chancellor's Merit Award

Applicant must be able to fall into one of these categories: (a) a non-Indiana resident, ranking in the top quarter of their class, with a minimum 1650 composite SAT (composite ACT score of 24 with writing), or or have earned a SAT score of 1800 (27 ACT with writing); (b) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 credits and a cumulative GPA of 3.0; (c) a transfer student from another regionally accredited college or university having completed 24 credit hours or more at more than one college with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at each institution attended. Transfer students with fewer than 24 credits completed will be evaluated on their high school record and test scores. International students who are beginning at the university must have scored a minimum 600 on the TOEFL if the test was paper-based or a minimum of 87 if the TOEFL was Internet-based. International students must ask the Office of International Education to recommend them for scholarship consideration.

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top fifth of his/her class, and must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Transfer applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

A.L. Brown Scholarship

Applicant must have graduated from a secondary school in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusettes, Rhode Island or Vermont or currently attend a New England college or university. Applicant must be pursing a Bachelor of Science or a graduate degree in engineering.

 

Wachovia Scholars

Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students based on academic standing and financial need. Applicant must be from the Wachovia service area.

 

Regional Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time, matriculated freshmen who is a graduate from a high school outside of New York State.
