NEEBC Scholarship Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate student who is considering a career in a benefits-related area such as: health care program design, pension plan design, implementation or administration, retirement strategies, ERISA and legal aspects of employee benefits, work/life programs, health risk management, institutional investing of retirement savings, multi-employer plans, workers compensation, actuarial and underwriting analysis, or employee benefits communications. Selection will be based upon specific employee benefit related study, activities, and goals, school and community activities, work experience, future potential, and academic performance. Application, transcript, and two recommendations are required to be submitted.

 

Travel Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a full-time, dependent student from the United States or Canada (excluding Minnesota and western Wisconsin).

 

Merit Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who will graduate high school on the United States mainland. Information provided on the admissions application, along with a high school transcript will determine criteria and eligibility of the award.

 

Out-of-State Tuition Waiver

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a non-resident freshmen student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and a GPA between 3.25 and 3.49.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering non-resident freshman student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and minimum 3.75 GPA.

 

Provost's Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering non-resident freshman student who has a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (minimum composite ACT score of 25) and a high school GPA between 3.5 and 3.74.

 

Out of State Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1 (priority)

Applicant must be a United States resident who is living outside of New York State and who visits the college before January 31st of their senior year.

 

Jayhawk Generations Scholarship

Award: $12,154, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be an admitted first-time, non-resident freshman student whose parent, step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent, step-grandparent, or great-grandparent earned a degree at the university. Minimum 3.5 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090 (composite ACT score of 24) required.

 

Blazer Elite Scholarship

W + M Donham Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a New England resident who is majoring in business/economics.

 

Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 6

Applicant must be a high school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA who has proven their ability to put the spirit of competition above winning while participating in a varsity sport. Community service work is also required. Applicant must write an essay explaining why they are a good sport on and off the field. Applicants who meet all requirements and complete the essay will be voted on in an online competition; 10 applicants from each New England state with the most votes will be interviewed by a select panel of judges.

 

Out of State Grant

Award: $2,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a full-time student and one of the following: a United States citizen who is a non-Florida resident living in the United States or a United States territory or an eligible non-citizen (permanent resident).

 

Hanscom Air Force Base Spouses' Club Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a dependent of a retired, deceased or current active duty member of any branch of the military, hold a valid military ID card, and reside within a 150 mile radius of Hanscom Air Force Base or be a dependent of a sponsor stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base. Children of service members must be high school seniors.

 

A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, Inc., Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a legal resident of New England who is attending an accredited college or university as a full time student (taking at least nine credit hours). Applicant must be the child (biological/adopted/step) of an A.L.S. patient (either living or deceased).

 

Reggie Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a United States legal resident who resides in California, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Rhode Island and is legally blind. Proof of acceptance to an accredited institution of higher learning or a recognized vocational program.

 

Live Out Loud Young Scholars Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 8

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the tri-state area (New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey) who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender and has shown exceptional leadership, courage, and achievement. Selection based upon leadership and community service involvement. Application, two essays, six short essays, and two letters of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Ronald A. Copes Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: March 30

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Springfield, MA or Hartford, CT who participated in extra curricular activities. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

James Z. Naurison Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: March 30

Applicant must be a resident of Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden or Hampshire County, MA or the towns of Enfield or Suffield, CT.

 

Out-of-State Grant

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who is not a resident of South Carolina.

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who is not a resident of Florida.

 

Bruce Fishkin Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a high school junior or senior who lives and/or attends school in one of the following areas: Chicago, Illinois and suburbs of the area; Las Vegas, Nevada and suburbs of the area; Fairfield, Greens Farms, Redding, and Westport, Connecticut. Minimum 3.0 GPA and plans to attend an accredited college or university in the United States required.

 

Robert T. Kenney Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a high school senior, current college student, or non-traditional adult student who plans to attend or is currently attending an accredited community college, four-year college or university, or a technical/ vocational program in the United States. High school senior applicants must rank in the top third of their graduating class or have a minimum 2.5 GPA. College student applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. All applicants must be from any one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the sponsor.
