Applicants must be in their sophomore year of college or higher at one of 30 participating schools. They must be of Ukrainian descent and have been members of the Ukrainian Fraternal Association for two years.

Applicants must be accepted into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program (current Registered Nurses), a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program for advanced practice in neonatal nursing, a doctoral degree program in nursing or a Master's or post-Master's nursing degree program in Business Management or Nursing Administration. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be actively involved in neonatal nursing at the professional level. They cannot have received a grant or scholarship from the FNRE within the past five years, and they cannot be current members of the FNRE Scholarship Committee or Board. Applicants must be full-time students working towards an undergraduate degree at an accredited four-year educational institution or a graduate degree through an accredited program in engineering or a field related to broadcasting or telecommunications. Applicants must be AJCA members studying dairy manufacturing, dairy product marketing, dairy production or large animal veterinary practice at the undergraduate or graduate level. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students. They must have completed at least one semester of college coursework at the time of applying for the scholarship and must have at least one year remaining in their programs of study at the time of award disbursement; fifth-year seniors are ineligible. Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the residential construction industry. Preference will be given to current student members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and to applicants who are enrolled in a four-year degree program that focuses on construction management. Selection is based on academic merit, recommendations, extracurricular activities, work experience and financial need.

Students must be Colorado residents who are Colorado Nurses Association or Colorado Student Nurses Association members. They must be second-year ASN students; third- or fourth-year BSN students; RNs enrolled at a school of nursing at any postsecondary level; currently practicing RNs enrolled in a doctoral nursing program or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students. Undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.25 or above, and graduate students must have a GPA of 3.5 or above. Applicants must have plans to practice nursing in the state of Colorado after graduation. Selection is based on stated career goals, GPA, financial need, participation in community and professional organizations and commitment to practicing nursing in Colorado.

They must be enrolled in a degree program that is related to cement construction or concrete materials technology at an accredited institution of higher learning. Applicants must be women who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program that is related to transportation. They either must be attending a school located in Minnesota, or must be North Dakota, South Dakota or Iowa students who have lived in Minnesota at some point during the past five years. They must have plans to pursue a career in the transportation field, and must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Selection is based on academic merit, transportation-related activities and career goals.

They must be enrolled in a civil engineering or other transportation-related degree program and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must be members of Physician Assistants for Latino Health (PALH) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). They must be currently enrolled in a physician assistant program and have leadership experience in the Latino community or be interested in Latino health concerns. Applicants must be U.S. legal residents who are of junior high school, high school or college age. They must submit a videotape of a solo performance in order to be considered for the live semifinals competition. Selection is based on the quality of performance during the semifinal and final rounds of live competition.

Students must serve in the Oregon Army National Guard. The educational program provides tuition and expenses for vocational school, distance learning, alternative credit programs or college. The Student Loan Repayment Program helps students in repaying up to $50,000. Students must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).
