Scholarships in High School Senior

PHCC Educational Foundation Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be currently enrolled or plan to enroll in a p-h-c-related major at an accredited four-year college or university or two-year technical college, community college or trade school. Students enrolled in an approved apprentice program must also be working full-time for a licensed plumbing or HVACR contractor who is a member of the PHCC. Two scholarships will be awarded to students who are enrolled in either a PHCC-approved apprentice program or a full-time certificate or degree program at an accredited two-year community college, technical college or trade school. Three scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited four-year college or university.

 

University of South Carolina - Beaufort - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated University of South Carolina - Beaufort as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Applicants may change their top-choice selection by logging onto the Online Scholarship Application (OSA) website. Applicant must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12. Applicant must also be a citizen of the United States or be a U.S. lawful permanent resident.

 

Webber International University Incentive Scholarship Program

Award: $8,000, Deadline: August 31

The Florida Incentive Scholarship Program is a merit scholarship for Florida high school graduates who receive recognition as a National Merit or National Achievement Scholars. Applicants must earn a standard Florida high school diploma; be a National Merit Finalist or National Achievement Finalist; enroll at an eligible Florida postsecondary institution; be a Florida resident; and enroll full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per term or quarter equivalency) in a baccalaureate degree program.

 

University of South Carolina Sumter - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

TMC/SAE Donald D. Dawson Technical Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, be high school seniors or current undergraduate students and be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an ABET-accredited engineering degree program. They must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher and an SAT I math score of 600 or higher and a critical reading score of 550 or higher or must have an ACT composite score of 27 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Digital Media Arts College Incentive Scholarship Program

Award: $8,000, Deadline: August 31

The Florida Incentive Scholarship Program is a merit scholarship for Florida high school graduates who receive recognition as a National Merit or National Achievement Scholars. They must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher and must have SAT or ACT scores that rank in the 90th percentile. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be high school seniors. They must have SAT or ACT scores that rank in the 90th percentile and must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher on a four-point scale. They must plan to enroll in an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be high school seniors or college undergraduates enrolled in or accepted by accredited institutions and be in the nuclear medicine technology field. Applicant must prove financial need.

 

University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee Incentive Scholarship Program

Award: $8,000, Deadline: August 31

SPIE Scholarships in Optics and Photonics

Award: $11,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicants must be high school, undergraduate or graduate students enrolled part-time or full-time in programs in the field of optics, photonics, imaging, optoelectronics program or related discipline (e.g., physics or electrical engineering). Students must be members of SPIE, although they may submit a membership application along with the scholarship application, and high school applicants receive a one-year complimentary membership. Applicants must also submit two sealed letters of reference.

Minority Scholarship Awards for Incoming College Freshmen

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicants must be members of a minority group (i.e. African American, Hispanic, Native American or Alaskan Native) that is underrepresented in chemical engineering. Applicants must also be high school graduates during the academic year of application and plan to enroll in a four-year college or university. Applicants are encouraged to major in science or engineering. Selection is also based on academic record, reason for choosing science or engineering, work or activities and financial need.

 

University of Texas at Dallas - National Merit Scholarship

TOPSS Competition for High School Psychology Students

Award: $250, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be high school students who have been or are presently enrolled in a psychology course and must write an essay answering a question from the APA. A Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools (TOPSS) member must sponsor all candidates, and each school may submit no more than five papers.
