Warner University Bright Futures Scholarships

Award: $12,000, Deadline: August 31

The Bright Futures program consists of three different awards: Florida Academic Scholars (FAS), Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) and Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV). To qualify an applicant must be a Florida state resident and U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen; complete the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA); receive a standard Florida high school diploma or its equivalent; not have been convicted of a felony; be accepted by and enroll in a degree or certificate program; and be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per term. In addition, each of the above awards has specific minimum requirements for high school coursework, GPA, ACT/SAT scores, and service hours.

 

Purdue University - Calumet - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Purdue University - Calumet as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. Applicants may change their top-choice selection by logging onto the Online Scholarship Application (OSA) website. Applicant must take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12. Applicant must also be a citizen of the United States or be a U.S. lawful permanent resident.

 

AHHS Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: July 15

The applicant must be a high school senior or recent graduate. Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, community service, involvement with Hackney Horses and the letters of recommendation.

 

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Bright Futures Scholarships

Award: $12,000, Deadline: August 31

Applicants must be current ODS High School Dressage team members, have been members for at least two years and have been accepted to a college or university. Selection is based on experience as a leader and role model, community service, academic achievements, a personal essay and the letters of reference.

 

The Art Institute of Jacksonville Bright Futures Scholarships

Applicants must be a current member of the USHJA/USEF, must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, must either be in the top 20 percent in class rank or have a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Students must be entering a college or trade school in the fall as a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior. Selection is made by the zone committee and is based on financial need, academic achievement, community service, leadership and the personal essay.

 

Purdue University - West Lafayette - National Merit Scholarship

Applicants must attend the College Preparatory Invitational and be students in grades 8 through 12. The scholarship is awarded to the rider with the highest point score.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. CPI Journalistic Photo Contest

Award: $50, Deadline: Varies

Students must be riders in the College Preparatory Invitational and be students in grades 8 through 12. Competition is based on photographs that can tell the story of the CPI Horse Show and that are taken during the three-day event and are submitted into one of eight different categories.

 

Ave Maria University Bright Futures Scholarships

Applicants must be participants in the College Preparatory Invitational, be students in grades 8 through 12, have a 3.0 GPA or higher and have served a minimum of 36 hours of community service within the last 16 months. The scholarship is awarded to the applicant with the highest number of community hours served.

 

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. The CPI Written Horsemanship Test Award

Award: $500, Deadline: December 15

Applicants must be participants in the College Preparatory Invitational and be students in grades 8 through 12. Students will take an online test on horsemanship, and the top five will be invited to take a written exam during the invitational.

 

Baptist College of Florida Bright Futures Scholarships

Applicants must be competing in the Arnold Fencing Classic, be a U.S. citizen and be between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. Selection is based on competitive participation and success in fencing, academic achievement, personal essay and letter of recommendation.

 

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey - Camden - National Merit Scholarship

Applicants must be high school seniors who have participated in the Indiana Junior Golf Program for at least two years, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, display strong character and have financial need. Selection is based on these criteria as well as a personal essay.

 

Barry University Bright Futures Scholarships

Applicants must be a senior in high school, have worked in an Indiana golf facility in the previous 12 months, have a 3.0 GPA, display strong character and prove financial need. Selection is based on financial need, personal essay and academic achievement.

 

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey - New Brunswick - National Merit Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 5
