Applicant must be a current high school senior at a Pennsylvania secondary school. Must be planning to enroll full-time at an accredited non-proprietary four-year college or university in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Minimum 3.0 GPA, active participation in the community or extracurricular activities, and applicant appraisal from a school counselor, teacher, work supervisor, or community/religious leader required. The scholarships are also open to office employees and children of those employed at the International Union office. Applicants must be high school students who will be attending an accredited college, technical college or vocational school for the first time, high school graduates who have never attended college or BCTGM members who have never applied to the program before who are currently enrolled or planning to begin or resume their studies in the fall. All applicants are required to take the SAT or an equivalent, such as the ACT.
