Video Essay Scholarship Contest

Award: $500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant be a high school senior or full-time student currently enrolled in college or graduate school. A video essay on the effects of drinking and driving is required to be submitted. The Beliz Law Firm is looking to see how creatively the applicant can persuade others not to drink and drive. Video essay must use a technical or narrative style, including but not limited to documentary, fiction, live action, or animation.

 

'Pursue Your Passion' Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Last day of every month

Applicant must be a high school senior or current undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Awarded to applicants who are actively engaged in learning about a specific topic or passion and who have a plan and need for the scholarship money to extend their learning.

 

Senior Care Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a student enrolled in an associate, bachelor's, or graduate-level degree program in the fields of gerontology, long-term care administration, medicine, nursing, or sociology at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Letter of introduction and 500-word essay on selected topic required. Selection based upon the most compelling essay as judge by an outside panel of senior living professionals.

 

Understand and Measure Employee Engagement Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: January 31 (essay deadline); April 30 (survey completion deadline)

Applicant must be a current full-time high school senior or undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student who submits an essay on the various concepts around employee engagement (the level to which employees are committed to the organization, feel invested and valued in their jobs, and are dedicated to the success of the company). EngagedMetrics will choose two applicants who have gained the greatest insight surrounding the benefits and importance of employee engagement. The final two applicants will use the EngagedMetrics platform to design and deploy an employee engagement survey for a fictitious company. The applicant with the greatest understanding of how to measure employee engagement and the most innovated survey will receive the award.

 

Defensive Driving Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a high school senior or current college student. Application, short survey, and a two-minute-long or less video answering one of the prompts on the application required.

 

The Bodie Law Firm Scholarship Contest

Award: $500, Deadline: December 20

Applicant must be a current two- or four-year college or law student. Essay on the following prompt is required: Discuss solutions to the student loan crisis. Specifically, do you believe amending the bankruptcy code to allow for discharge of student loans would alleviate the problem? If not, what alternative solutions do you recommend?

 

$1,000 SuperCollege Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Monthly

Applicants must be high school students, college undergraduates, graduate students or adult students residing in the U.S. and attending or planning to attend any accredited college or university within the next 12 months. The scholarship may be used to pay for tuition, books, room and board, computers or any education-related expenses.

 

Legal Leaders Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a high school senior or current full-time undergraduate student who plans to pursue a degree in one of the following areas: pre-law, paralegal studies, or working towards their juris doctorate in any concentration of the law. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

The Reeves Law Group Scholarship Contest

Award: $2,500, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be a high school senior who is looking to enter college at the start of the next school year or a currently enrolled student in a college or university. Applicant must discuss a time that they stood up for someone who could not stand up for himself or herself, and how that experience has impacted their life and the lives of the person or persons they may have helped. Story can be submitted in any of the following ways: Powerpoint or Prezi Presentation, video (via YouTube), traditional essay, blog post, social media post, or any other creative way. Selection based upon quality of writing, creativity of presentation, and 'sharability' and emotion.

 

Dr. Marie E. Zakrzewski Medical Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Polish descent or a Polish citizen with permanent residency status in the United States who is entering their first, second, or third year of studies towards an M.D. degree. Applicant must be a female residing in Massachusetts. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

DIY Instructional Video Scholarship Contest

Award: $500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a high school senior who has been accepted to or is currently in a college, university, or trade school or a current college student. Applicant must create an instructional do-it-yourself (DIY) video to inform on some household repair task (this could be as simple as changing a light bulb and as complex as fixing a washing machine). Videos may be narrative or technical style, as long as the instructions are clear and concise to the viewer.

 

Mobility Scholarship Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who uses a mobility device such as a wheelchair, power scooter, crutches, or rollator on a regular basis. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay regarding the following required: Describe a time when you faced a major obstacle. What did you do and what did the experience teach you?

 

Quarterly Business Plan Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an entrepreneur at least 18 years old who is a United States citizen. Applicant must submit a business plan executive summary.

 

AfterCollege Finance and Insurance Careers Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31; June 30; September 30; December 31

Applicant must be a current student working toward a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree in: accounting, actuarial sciences, banking, economics, finance, financial management, insurance, risk management, or related majors. Minimum 3.0 GPA and good standing in program required. Applicant must click the blue Apply button on the AfterCollege application page and complete their AfterCollege profile which will be the criteria (with specific emphasis on the personal statement) used to determine the recipient of the award.

 

Rowe Fund Interest-Free Loan Program

Award: $15,000, Deadline: n/a

Applicant must be Latin American or Caribbean citizen with an international student visa (F, J, or M) allowing them to study full-time in the United States. Applicant must be accepted as full-time student in an accredited institution of higher learning. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Harry Middleton Fellowship in Presidential Studies

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 15 (June through December) ; September 15 (January through August)

Preference given to doctoral students whose research highlights how history can illuminate current and future policy issues; however, post-doctoral fellows and others may apply. Recipient must conduct research at the LBJ Presidential Library and at least one other institution of the National Archives and Records Administration and agree that the product of research will not be used for political purposes and a copy will be provided to the LBJ Foundation. Three letters of recommendation required.

 

Chartering Officer Scholarship

Applicant must be a current undergraduate or graduate member of Golden Key who was a charter/re-charter chapter officer.

 

Graduate Scholar Award

Award: $10,000, Deadline: April 1; October 1

Applicant must be a member of Golden Key who is enrolled or will enroll in a post-baccalaureate program at an accredited institution.

 

Joan Nelson Study Abroad Scholarship

Study Abroad Scholarship

Military Service Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a current undergraduate or graduate member of Golden Key who is serving in a branch of the Australian, Bahaman, Canadian, Indian, New Zealand, Malaysian, South African or United States military.

 

Monk's Home Improvements Service Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 2

Applicant must be a high school senior who plans to attend an accredited college or university this fall or a current college student. Applicant must have a permanent address located within the Monk's service area in Northern New Jersey and be available for an in-person interview in Morristown, NJ. Demonstration of community service required in essay.

 

Health Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a current student in the United States or Canada with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Essay on the following question is required: If you could, what, if any, changes to programs, policies and education etc. would you implement for the general health/well being of the average modern person?

 

North Dakota Indian Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized Indian tribe and a resident of North Dakota who has been accepted for admission at an institution of higher learning or state vocational program within North Dakota. Full-time enrollment and minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a high school, college, graduate, or home schooled student who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident. A 140-character message about technology addiction is required to apply. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists; finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about technology addiction. Only online applications are accepted.

 

Don't Text and Drive Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: September 30

Applicant must be a high school, college, graduate, or homeschooled student who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident. A 140-character message about texting while driving is required to apply. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists; finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about texting while driving. Only online applications are accepted.

 

Digital Privacy Scholarship
