Applicant must be certified as a displaced Aurarian or the child or grandchild of a displaced Aurarian. Preference given to students who apply by March 31.

 

VSGC Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and Vermont resident and a graduating senior in a Vermont high school or a current undergraduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA enrolled in a degree program in a Vermont institution of higher education. Applicant must plan to attend a Vermont institution of higher education full time for the following academic year and plan to pursue a professional career which has direct relevance to the U.S. aerospace industry and the goals of NASA. Three awards will be given to Burlington Technical College-Aviation Technology Program.

Year 2000 C3=Chem-E-Car Competition

Applying team must design and construct a chemically-powered vehicle. Selection is based upon creativity, safety, and ability to carry specified cargo and travel the correct distance.

Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Bursary

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 15

Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need. Whenever possible, seven awards will be given to male students, seven to female students, and at least one award to an aboriginal student. Six awards are available for chemical/petroleum engineering, six for geology/geophysice, and three for management. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

National Student Design Competition

Applicants (individuals or teams) must solve a designated chemical engineering design problem involving skills in calculation and evaluation of both technical data and economic factors.

 

Senator Stan Waters Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and demonstrate academic merit, leadership in student government or student activities (preferably with a business and/or political direction), and involvement in scholastic or extracurricular activities that promote the development of superior communication skills. Applicant must submit published work on the application of computing and systems technology to chemical engineering. The work must have been published while applicant was pursuing graduate or undergraduate studies.

 

Environmental Division Undergraduate Student Paper Award

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate, be an AIChE student member, and submit a paper on environmentally-related research. Selection is based upon knowledge, originality, and merits of project results.

 

Nuclear Engineering Division Student Award
