Dr. Frank Veden Endowed Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a student who is pursuing a career in the health care industry with a desire to live and utilize their training in a rural setting. Minimum 2.0 GPA.

 

Don Keith Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be pursuing a degree in agriculture and actively participating in student government or extra-curricular activities. Applicant must demonstrate an interest in a career in agriculture and show promise of developing leadership ability. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Employee Family Awards

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a full-time student who is the immediate family member of a University of Minnesota - Crookston employee.

 

Gerald Hoefer Memorial Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a full-time student who is studying animal agriculture with a minimum 2.0 high school GPA. Preference given to first year students from the following counties: Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Marshall, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, Clearwater, Mahnomen, and Norman.

 

Gilmore Restad Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be a student who is pursuing a degree relating to livestock education.

 

Jack & Audrey Eickhof Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 1 (admitted deadline); February 15 (scholarship application deadline)

Applicant must be majoring in an equine science-related field. Minimum 2.0 GPA required of freshmen; 2.5 GPA required of transfer students with 24 credits. Academic proficiency and leadership must be demonstrated.

 

Colorado Ski Authority Annual Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be enrolled in a Colorado university, college, community college or junior college who is in good academic standing. Sponsor is looking for an applicant who exemplifies their spirit, combining creativity, intelligence, drive, and responsibility.

 

William J. Lechel II Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the United States. Applicant must be interested in mosquito control who plans to study natural science or a related field.

 

Therapy Professionals Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must demonstrate an interest in physical, massage, recreational, or occupational therapy or psychology professions and be interested in attending a related undergraduate, graduate, or accredited training program at an accredited institution in the United States. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Dietspotlight.com Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a legal resident of the U.S. who is currently enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university. Essay describing the applicant's vision of the advancements that could be made over the next 10 years to combat childhood obesity is required.

 

Aaron Seever Sales Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: September 30; January 31

Applicant must be a current undergraduate student who has a proven record of high quality sales and ambition.

 

Energy Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 31

Applicant must be a full-time college student enrolled at a two- or four-year university. Essay between 600 and 800 words regarding the following questions required: What steps has your current school taken with green initiatives? What additional initiatives would you recommend to satisfy both objectives?

 

Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Degrees - Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: computer forensics, corrections, criminal justice, forensic psychology, homeland security, law enforcement, and sociology with law/criminal emphasis.

 

Liberal Arts and General Studies Degrees - Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: consumer sciences, cultural studies, ethnic studies, gender studies, geography, history, leisure studies, military studies, philosophy, political science, religious studies, social science, or social services.

 

Drive to Learn Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school senior or a full-time undergraduate or graduate student. A 750 to 1,000 word response to one of the prompts about learning to drive on the sponsor's site is required.

 

Legal Leaders Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a high school senior or current full-time undergraduate student who plans to pursue a degree in one of the following areas: pre-law, paralegal studies, or working towards their juris doctorate in any concentration of the law. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

General Scholarship for Higher Learning

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be majoring in a travel or tourism-related field.

 

Internet Marketing Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education who is on the path to a business or marketing career that will involve online marketing. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Nursing Program Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: October 31; April 30

Applicant must be currently enrolled or enrolling in the next six months in an undergraduate or certificate level nursing education program. Applicants participating in transitional programs such as R.N. to B.S.N. or L.P.N. to B.S.N. or those enrolling or currently enrolled in nursing programs offered by online schools qualify; master's and doctorate level students do not qualify. A 500 to 800 word essay required.

 

Fly High Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be an American or Canadian citizen who is currently enrolled in a Canadian or American university. Minimum 3.0 GPA and 500 to 1,000 word essay about a travel related experience or topic required.

 

HTR Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 15; May 15

Applicant must be a college student who is studying in IT or related fields. A short essay regarding what the applicant will do with their degree is required.

 

Mark A. Forester Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be currently enrolled or will enrolling at an undergraduate institution. A 300- to 500-word essay how the applicant honors America's military heroes is required.

 

AmericanMuscle Student Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: October 15; June 15

Applicant must be a high school student who plans to pursue or a full-time student pursuing an automotive major at a United States college or technical institute. A 700- to 1,500-word essay on the following topic is required: How do you plan to use your automotive education to change the custom car industry for the better?

 

Book Marketing Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 13

Applicant must be a high school senior or college/university student in the United States. A 1,500-word essay on the art of persuasive writing is required.

 

College Scholarship Program

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a prospective or current college student who is pursuing a technology degree or related program. Essay on one of the topics found on sponsor's site is required.

 

IT Asset Management Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a current high school student who plans to enroll at or a college student currently enrolled at a college or university pursuing a degree in IT management in the United States. Essay answering the following question required: How do you hope to use your IT management education/background to make a positive impact in the business world?

 

Future Counselors of America Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in psychology who is seeking a career in relationship counseling or a related field. A 500- to 900-word essay required.

 

George Watt Prize

Award: $250, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student from the United States. Essay about any aspect of the Spanish Civil war, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the Americans who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938 is required.

 

Robert T. Kenney Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a high school senior, current college student, or non-traditional adult student who plans to attend or is currently attending an accredited community college, four-year college or university, or a technical/ vocational program in the United States. High school senior applicants must rank in the top third of their graduating class or have a minimum 2.5 GPA. College student applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. All applicants must be from any one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the sponsor.

 

B. Davis Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 26

Applicant must be a high school junior or senior or current college student. A 1,000-word essay regarding the following topic is required: Pick a controversial problem on high school or college/university campuses and suggest a solution.
