TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 19

Applicant must be a high school or current college student in the United States who enjoys spending time volunteering in their community.

 

Alumni Association Leaders in the Making Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a full-time sophomore or junior student in good standing. Selection based upon distinctive character, leadership and motivation particularly through active University, community or civic service.

 

Michael W. Morris Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a resident of Lawrence or Lowell, MA, who is a freshman, sophomore, or junior student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Bank of America Scholarship Fund

Award: $4,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum 3.25 GPA and unmet financial need of at least $4,000.

 

Arlindo Jorge Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Preference given to applicants showing an interest in taking courses in Portuguese language, literature, and culture.

 

Chester Weinerman Journalism Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student majoring in journalism who has been involved with the Collegian, UMass Amherst's newspaper.

 

Chubb Group of Insurance Companies Student Achievement Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate junior business student who exemplifies the core values of Chubb including academic excellence, leadership, and a strong sense of community displayed through volunteerism.

Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management. Awarded to applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement at the University and community involvement.

 

George W. Spiro Memorial Fund Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who is enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management who has made significant efforts to support their education. Special consideration is given to applicants who have attended community college before entering the Isenberg School of Management.

 

Harry Allan Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,300, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be currently enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management with financial need who has made significant sacrifices of their education.

 

Harry Edgar Wyman Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management. Selection based upon past academic achievement and demonstration of potential for future academic and professional accomplishments. Preference will be given to students of Murdock High School in Winchendon, MA or its successor.

 

Jack M. Wilson Presidential Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has completed a minimum of 15 credits with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Preference given to business, engineering, and physics majors, and for those studying any major abroad.

 

Jay Howland '68 Family Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management with leadership ability and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference given to applicants who show interest in a career as an entrepreneur.

 

John C. Morand Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate junior student enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a community college graduate.

 

John L.M. Crouse Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management with financial need.

 

KPMG Citizen/Scholar Award

Applicant must be an undergraduate student from Chicopee, MA, who is majoring in government, public health, nursing, education, or political science. Scholarship, need, and public service may be considered. FAFSA required.

 

Linda Peters Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a junior undergraduate student enrolled in the School of Nursing. Selection based on essay, academic merit, and financial need.

 

Louis Greenbaum History Writing Contest

Award: $250, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in the History/College of Humanities and Fine Arts department. Contest recognizes outstanding papers written for history courses. All topics are eligible, and essays by majors and non-majors may be entered.

Nancy S. Anton Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who is completing their junior year in the School of Nursing. Essay and interview with members of the Anton family required.

 

Onward & Upwards Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who had been or is currently in the foster care system in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Financial need required.
