Applicant must be a full-time, transfer day student. Preference given to early applicants.

 

Academic Excellence Leadership Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must demonstrate leadership qualities.

 

Sibling Grant

Award: $500, Deadline: None

Awarded to any student who has a sibling enrolled simultaneously.

 

Lewis J. Ort Regional Science Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must demonstrate ability in science and be a resident of Allegany, Garrett or Washington counties in Maryland or bordering counties in Pennsylvania or West Virginia.

 

Chemistry Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be planning a career in the chemical industry or planning to pursue a Ph.D. in chemistry.

 

Katherine Bernard Endowed Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be re-entering the job market due to necessity, i.e. death of spouse, divorce, etc. Re-entry may be applied to a woman who is already in the job market but needs additional skills as well as someone new to the job market.

 

DeLaski Scholarship Endowment

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in music, dance, or theatre. Financial need required.

 

Carter-Hunter Memorial Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student. Demonstration of academic merit and financial need are required.

 

Annetta Hyde Gibson Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is diabetic. Letter of recommendation and medical verification is also required with application.

 

SSG Christopher Falkel Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be an NSCA member in the military pursuing a degree in the strength and conditioning field.

 

NYS Grange Student Loan Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a member of NYS Grange.

 

Veterans Education Reimbursement Grant (VetEd)

Award: -, Deadline: No later than 60 days after the start of the course, term or semester for which reimbursement is being sought

Applicant must be a veteran who is a resident of Wisconsin; earn a 2.0 GPA for that semester or course; submit a WDVA Form 2200 or apply online; joint income cannot exceed $50,000 plus $1,000 for each dependent in excess of two dependents.

 

VA Essay Scholarship

Awarded to military-affiliated applicants. Applicant must complete an essay in conjuction with the prompt "Why I Choose to Serve".

 

College Toolkit Scholarship for College Students

Award: $1,000, Deadline: September 30

Applicant must be an undergraduate college student this upcoming fall who is attending an accredited two-year or four-year college. Applicant must select the school that they are attending and provide a short review of the institution.

 

William Rucker Greenwood Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a minority woman who is enrolled as full-time, graduate or undergraduate geoscience major in an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicant must demonstrate awareness of the importance of community outreach by participation in geoscience or earth-science education activities that reflect AWG's goals and a potential for leadership as a future geoscience professional.

 

Penelope Hanshaw Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be currently enrolled as full-time, graduate or undergraduate geoscience major in an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

American Chemical Society Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

 

Alton Cole Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 25. First preference is given to a speech/theatre major. Applicant must submit a letter addressing educational and career goals and community service.

 

EPLS Club Scholarship

Award: $200, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an EPLS/HPE major.

 

Vectra Bank of Alamosa Golf Scholarship

Applicant must be an Adams State golf team member.

 

Walters Football Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a member of the Adams State College football team and must have a minimum 2.25 GPA if a freshman or a minimum 2.5 GPA if a continuing student.

 

Walters Volleyball Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a member of the Adams State College volleyball team and must have a minimum 2.25 GPA if a freshman and a minimum 2.5 GPA if a continuing student.

 

Bill Zittle Memorial Golf Scholarship

Applicant must be an Adams State golf team participant and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

 

FirstBank Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be active in School of Business clubs or organizations, and submit two letters of recommendation from business and/or education faculty.

 

Robert R. Foote Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate good citizenship in high school. Selection is based upon athletic merit and recipient must play on an Adams State athletic team.

 

Clyde Helms Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of San Luis Valley High School who is majoring in business with a finance emphasis. Minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 910 (composite ACT score of 19).

 

Kay Prendergast Kelloff Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and provide two letters of reference and a letter addressing educational and career goals and community service. First preference is given to an elementary education major, and second preference is given to a business administration major.

 

Dr. Randall T. Lambert Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and be a graduate of a San Luis Valley high school.

 

Merritt Scholarship
