Joyce M. Kennedy, Ph.D. Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, reside in Ventura County, CA and attend CSUCI.

 

Ventura County Agriculture Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, be the child of an agriculture worker, and a resident of Ventura County, CA.

 

Charles K. Gose Scholarship

J. Hugh and Earle W. Fellows Memorial Fund

Award: $120,000, Deadline: Rolling

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, or Walton County, FL, be of good moral character, and qualified scholastically and intellectually. Ministry majors must be associated with the Episcopal church or a faith whose religious beliefs are not in substantial conflict with the Episcopal church. Recipient must have been accepted by or be successfully pursuing training at an accredited college or university in the appropriate field of study.

 

James and Mary Dawson and Donald Malcolm MacArthur Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a Scot coming from Scotland to the U.S. for graduate work and must plan to enroll full-time. Applicant must be able to cite his or her Scottish descent and submit a statement of plans and goals. Applicant must have a meritorious academic record and demonstrate financial need. Special attention is given to work that will demonstrably contribute to enhanced knowledge of Scottish history or culture, and preference is given to those pursuing scientific and engineering degrees.

 

AOSA Training and Projects (TAP) Grant

Award: $2,067, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an AOSA member who has been a member for the previous year, and must be a U.S. citizen or have resided in the U.S. for the past five years. Applicant must be actively involved in teaching elementary general music programs for low-income and racially diverse populations. Financial need is considered.

 

Dan L. Meisinger Sr. Memorial Learn to Fly Scholarship

Applicant must be a college student currently enrolled in an aviation program with a "B" average or better.

 

Dr. Nathan C. Schaeffer Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time education student, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, have financial need, and be a resident of Lancaster County, Penn.

 

Bessie May Briggs Mason Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of Alton High School in Illinois and have a desire to teach. Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need.

 

John A. Baker Memorial Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a 2.0 GPA and a strong desire to complete degree. Selection based on financial need.

 

Desmond Hamlet Scholarship

Award: $44,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an academically exceptional student who comes from a traditionally underrepresented population. Applicant must have demonstrated leadership and service in school, community, or religious organizations, and show a commitment to diversity. Common Application, essay, and interview prior to January 15 are required. Preference will be given to applicants who have visited the campus.

 

Elizabeth A. Knapp Scholarship

Applicant must be a female student who has delayed her formal education due to hardship.

 

Eugene L. Cox Fellowship

Applicant must be a graduate of Wellesley College pursuing further study abroad or in the United States.

 

McCullough Scholarship

Applicant must have been accepted to a four-year university. Scholarship form describing their interest in dairy or agricultural communications or journalism as a career must be submitted.

 

Cay Drachnik Minorities Fund

Award: $500, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be a member of an ethnic minority group, be an active student member of AATA, be enrolled in an AATA-approved program, demonstrate financial need, and submit essay and letters of recommendation.

 

Minnesota State Loan Repayment Program

Award: $20,000, Deadline: August 1

Award repays student loans.

 

Future Teacher Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must write a 250-word essay explaining desire to teach journalism at high school level, two letters of recommendation, transcripts showing academic standing.

 

Members-at-Large Educational Reentry Award

Applicant must be a woman who has returned to academic studies after an absence of at least three years. Applicant must demonstrate exceptional qualities of interest, excellence, and professional potential in chemistry and must be nominated by a member of Iota Sigma Pi or by a faculty member. Transcripts, essay, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

Ohio Space Grant Doctoral Fellowship

Applicant must be a resident of Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia who is a full-time student with a minimum 2.7 GPA. Applicant must follow horticulture or landscape as a field of study and be able to demonstrate interest in working in the green industry. Application must be completed online.

Awarded to support innovative research into the computational aspects of geographic science.

 

AAG Darrel Hess Community College Geography Scholarship
