Applicant must have a minimum SAT score of 1100 or a 3.5 GPA. Preference will be given to residents of Frostburg first, then Allegany County and then all of Maryland.

 

Donald Donahue Tri-State Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum SAT score of 1100, a minimum 3.5 GPA, and be a resident of the immediate tri-state area with a preference given to residents of West Virginia or Pennsylvania.

 

Lewis J. Ort Access to Education Award

Applicant must demonstrate academic ability and be a resident of Bedford, Fulton, Franklin and Somerset in Pennsylvania; Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Jefferson, Mineral and Morgan in West Virginia; and Loudoun in Virginia.

 

Lewis J. Ort Regional Science Award

Applicant must demonstrate ability in science and be a resident of Allegany, Garrett or Washington counties in Maryland or bordering counties in Pennsylvania or West Virginia.

 

F. Perry Smith, Jr. Scholarship

Applicant must have completed high school in Allegany or Garrett county and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Furman Scholars Program

Applicant must have a minimum 3.75 GPA, a minimum SAT score of 1350 (composite ACT score of 30) and rank in the top 5% of their class.

 

Hollingsworth Scholars

Selection based upon outstanding academic performance, intellectual curiosity, potential for success at Furman School, community involvement and leadership skills.

Applicant must be re-entering the job market due to necessity, i.e. death of spouse, divorce, etc. Re-entry may be applied to a woman who is already in the job market but needs additional skills as well as someone new to the job market.

 

Samuel J. and Daphonal T. Bell Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student. Demonstration of academic merit and financial need are required.

 

DeLaski Scholarship Endowment

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Preference will be given to applicants majoring in music, dance, or theatre. Financial need required.

SSG Christopher Falkel Scholarship

JSSA Educational Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a high school senior at a Montgomery County public high school who has been accepted into an accredited four-year undergraduate program, vocational school, or community college. Recipient is eligible for one to two years of funding. Awards may not be used for a student attending private, parochial, graduate, or post-graduate schools.
