Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA audition with the School of Visual and Performing Arts or have a portfolio. Awarded to recent high school graduates only.

 

Davidson Fellows Scholarship

Award: $50,000, Deadline: Second Wednesday in February

Applicant must be 18 years old or younger who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Selection based upon outstanding achievements in the areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, music, literature, and/or philosophy. Each submission must be an original piece of work recognized by experts in the field as "significant" and it must have the potential to make a positive contribution to society.

 

Performing Arts Scholarship

Award: $16,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have outstanding artistic talent. An on-campus audition is required.

 

Rita-Charles Gelman Graduate Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be enrolled full-time in a Master of Business Administration program, and demonstrate financial need.

Guaranteed award to accepted students with a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24) and a minimum 2.75 GPA.

All-State Community Colleges Academic Team Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: October 31

Applicant must be enrolled at a community college, have a cumulative college-level GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale for all coursework completed in the last five years, regardless of institution attended, and be on track to earn an associate's or a bachelor's degree (or the equivalent of a U.S. associate's or bachelor's degree).

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Applicant must be a transfer student who is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

Applicant must be an Illinois High School Senior who has been accepted in a pre-approved trade school program. A copy of an acceptance letter must accompany the application.

 

Illinois AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must attend an Illinois high school, submit ACT scores, be a child of a veteran who served after September 15, 1940, and honorably discharged or presently serving in the military.

 

Hospice and Pallative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) End of Life Nursing Care Research Grant

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license, hold a master's or doctoral degree, or be enrolled in a doctoral program. Project must ready for implementation and be completed within one year. Signed Research Grant Agreement is required. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International and/or HPNF members, other qualifications being equal.

 

William R and Mila Kimel Nuclear Engineering Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and must be enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering. Applicant must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee member or organizaiton member.

 

Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) Research Grant

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license and hold a master's degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program. Project must be ready for implantation and can be completed within one year. Signed Research Grant Agreement and membership in good standing of the MNRS and Sigma Theta Tau International are required.

 

Western Institute of Nursing (WIN) Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license, hold a master's degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program, have a project that is ready for implementation and can be completed in one year, and have a signed Research Grant Agreement. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International and/or WIN members, other qualifications being equal.

 

Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a registered nurse with a master's degree, current license, and enrollment in a doctoral program. Project must be ready for implementation and be completed within one year. Signed Research Grant Agreement must be submitted. Membership in Sigma Theta Tau International or ANAC is required. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International and/or ANAC members, other qualifications being equal.

 

Illinois AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Worchid Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must attend an Illinois high school, submit ACT scores, and be the child of a deceased veteran who was honorably discharged or is serving in the military.

Applicant must be an insured member of the society and submit application with high school transcript of grades.

 

National Association of Hispanic Nurses Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 18

Applicant must be a member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses enrolled in an accredited LVN/LPN, associate, diploma, baccalaureate, or graduate nursing program. Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred; two letters of recommendation, essay, resume, and transcripts must be submitted.

 

HIMSS Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a current HIMSS member. Completed application and three letters of recommendation (one letter must be from an academic advisor) are required to be submitted.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have completed a minimum of 24 transfer credit hours, have a minimum cumulative transfer GPA of 3.25, and have a verified membership in Phi Theta Kappa. Applicant must be a recipient of the Outstanding Transfer or Transfer Honors Scholarship.

Alexander Rutherford Scholarships for High School Achievement

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a senior in an Alberta high school and have a minimum grade average of 80.0 in five designated subjects in grades 10, 11 and 12. Applicant must be an Alberta resident who plans to enroll or is enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program of a minimum of one semester in length.

 

Rutherford Scholars

Applicant must have a minimum Diploma Examination score of 30 in English or French, Social Studies, and three other subjects. Award is in addition to the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship.
