Applicant must have minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum 600 math and 500 verbal SAT scores and be enrolled at one of four ABET accredited institutions in Florida. Applicant must submit a transcript and recommendation letter.

 

Governor's School Merit Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must prove participation in a Pennsylvania Governor's School program. Letters of recommendation are encouraged.

 

Diversity Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a minority student with a minimum 2.0 high school GPA who has been accepted for admission at Saint Vincent Coll. Letters of recommendation are encouraged.

 

Hugh O'Brian Leadership Scholarship

Barry W. Atkinson Award

Applicant must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, be currently enrolled for a minimum of six semester hours, and submit two letters of reference. Applicant must demonstrate that he or she has overcome or dealt with unusually challenging circumstances in the effort to pursue his or her education.

Robert Brian Ellis Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate outstanding achievement in business administration, computer science, economics, or mathematics and be enrolled as a junior.

 

Diane Lucy Ouckama Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be majoring or minoring in music and/or theatre. Applicant must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate through performance, both on campus and off, a high level of achievement and potential in music theater.

 

Freshman Chemistry Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must demonstrate outstanding academic ability and have a strong high school background in chemistry, mathematics and other sciences.

 

Dorothy Rogers Scholarship

Award: $1,050, Deadline: February 6

Award is for a non-traditional graduating female student intending to continue to graduate school. Applicant must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, submit a one-page essay on why she wishes to continue her education beyond the baccalaureate degree, two letters of reference, and plan to enroll in graduate school within two semesters. Applicant must also demonstrate intellectual curiosity, creativity, adventurous spirit, sensitivity to cultural diversity, and commitment to global understanding.

 

Colleen Brunner Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,260, Deadline: April 15 (fall); October 15 (spring)

Applicant must have participated in either the London or study abroad programs, be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Thomas and Shirley Gooding Graduate Award

Applicant must demonstrate academic excellence and departmental service. Applicant must have departmental recommendation.

 

Frances Mattison Hoenow and Otto Hoenow Scholarship

Clara Hill Murphy Scholarship

Selection is based upon high school average, standardized test scores, and leadership. Special consideration is given to Solvay High School graduates.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 27 and either a minimum 3.7 GPA or rank in top tenth of class. Applicants with a minimum composite ACT score of 30 will be awarded an additional $1,000.

 

Lieber Scholars Award

Award: $10,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be named a National Merit finalist and list the University of South Carolina as their first choice through the National Merit application.

 

Presidential Scholars Award

Award: $10,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 117) and minimum 3.2 GPA. Essay and application are required.

 

Transfer Award

Award: $4,000, Deadline: September 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 12 transfer credits. Award amount is dependent upon GPA.

 

LEAD Award

Automatically awarded to students who are accepted to William Woods University.

 

Legacy Award

Applicant must be the sibling of a concurrently enrolled sibling at William Woods University or be the dependent child of a William Woods University grandparent, parent, or sibling. Automatically awarded upon acceptance.

 

Athletic Award

Applicant must demonstrate talent and skills in the areas of women's basketball, golf, soccer, softball, track/cross-country, or volleyball, or men's baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, track/cross-country, or volleyball. Selection is based upon discretion of each athletic coach.

 

Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP)

Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, GED score of 45, or have a minimum composite ACT score of 20 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 940). Selection is made by post-secondary institution, which may have additional requirements.

 

Pi Gamma Mu Scholarship

Arc Welded Design, Engineering, and Fabrication Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 16

Applicant must submit a paper or report representing work on design, engineering, or fabrication problems relating to any type of building, bridge, or other generally stationary structure, any type of machine, product, or mechanical apparatus, or arc welding research, testing, procedure, or process development.

 

Women in Engineering and Science Scholarship

Applicant must be a woman and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Majoring in engineering in sciences is not required.

 

Ann P. Neupauer Scholarship
